Re: The New PetEmote Thread - Need Ideas For MECH Pets!
Hi there, just wanted to say hello. I'm Jorna, the original creator of PetEmote. So, hello! I'm glad to see that PetEmote is still alive after all those years. The community seems to be bigger than ever. Wow! When i wrote the first lines of code (back in August 2008 I think) I couldn't ima...

Re: PetEmote Addon - Don't download the Curse autoupdate!
Hi there and happy new year!
As you noticed, my website is no longer online. I'll attach the latest version (by me) of PetEmote to this post.
There's also the complete code at Google: http://code.google.com/p/petemote/sourc ... on%2Ftrunk
Greetings from Germany

Re: PetEmote Addon - Can you code? If so, PetEmote needs you
I was curious, can this possibly work with a Guardian of the Ancient Kings when he's out and not in combat? EDIT: Same goes for other temporary pets, like shadowfiend. I didn't try that, but I'm pretty sure it won't work. PetEmote only works with pets that you can command. For instance, with the Gh...

Re: PetEmote Addon - Can you code? If so, PetEmote needs you
Well, I went ahead and did it: the entire revision history is now up at http://code.google.com/p/petemote/ -- I haven't done anything to the code yet, but that at least gets the recent version up there to start looking at. Great, I did some promotion at my recent blog post. :) We have a few players...

Re: PetEmote Addon - Can you code? If so, PetEmote needs you
I think step 0 of any attempt to keep this alive is giving it a home independent of any individual's web space. Since Jorna has released the code without licensing restriction, it strikes me that placing it at a repository for open-source code, such as Google Code, would be a great idea; that provi...

Re: PetEmote Addon - Can you code? If so, PetEmote needs you
Well, at least one problem is solved. :) I suggest that you, Teigan, offer your Emotes here for download (custom-emotes.lua + custom-emotes.xml for other Editor users) as you did before I came here. That's not bad in my opinion. It is easy to install and works fine. If someone takes over coding (who...

Re: PetEmote Addon - New: Hydras, Lock and Mage Pets - 6/23
Erm... hi there! Looks like some trouble here. @Teigan: I didn't receive any email from you since... May or so? Nothing in my inbox, also no spam. :( I thought you were just working on it. I don't know what's wrong that you can't run the setup, so maybe try this: http://ammunition-company.zirkel-des...

Re: PetEmote Addon - IT LIVES!!! See here for details
You may want to download this.

Taigan's latest emotes are not yet included. You can keep your custom emotes file in the addon directory and everything should work fine. *plays legacy music*

Re: PetEmote Addon - IT LIVES!!! See here for details
I think I'll get PetEmote updated this weekend. First I will clear any code depending on happiness. You then can still use the option in the editor, but it won't have an effect anymore. All emotes, no matter what happiness level they are, will fire randomly. Beware! This will cause unexpected mood s...

Re: PetEmote Addon - New stuff 11/15/10
Should it be the actual pet name or the mob/pet name? As mentioned before, you can use your pet's name instead of the pet family as the name of an emote configuration. I'm not sure what "mob/pet name" means, but what works is only the name that floats on screen over your pet. For Hunters ...

Re: PetEmote Addon - Error fixes, some new ones Oct 22
I'm not sure if Jorna's going to fix it in the future, but I think she was made aware of it earlier. She was. ;) /pet will be gone again in 1.7.1, and this time forever. I wasn't sure if it is a good idea to keep it, but after some posts I think it is not. I myself don't really understand what is t...

Re: PetEmote Addon - Working on things again :)
As an aside, since mage water elementals are now permanent, is there any plan to add emotes for them? I tried to get them to work some days before 4.0 was released, but elementals aren't a pet family. They are just nothing. I will try this again in a while and see what I can do. So yes, there is a ...

Re: PetEmote Addon - Working on things again :)
My husband is having an odd problem with the addon at the moment. First of all it wouldn't do any emotes at all and he had to type /random on Then it was still behaving oddly. Normally when your pet does an emote it says something like: "Mittens chases a bug." Now it says for him: "B...

There were some smaller things that caused problems, mostly LUA stuff.Cryptography wrote:Hey Jorna.
Wowmatrix addon management tool includes your addon.... and seems like it updated its links VERY quickly.
Did you just update the .toc this time round or was there more work involved?

*pant pant* Here it is: PetEmote 1.7.0 for Patch 4.0 I hope it will instantly work for all of you. There is still some strange behavior on some systems that I can't figure out. @Teigan: If you made any changes since I recently put your emotes to the core (I think you did), please send me your custom...

Re: PetEmote Addon - BREAKING NEWS!!!!
I'm thinking it can't find the WOW directory because it is looking for it down the program files path. I have windows 7, and WOW is installed in User/public/games/ so every time I start it up, I have to tell the program where the WOW path is. The editor looks for the WoW install path in your window...
