Re: Best Shadowlands Tank Pets?

I use a Cunning pet for the run speed, especially in the maw. Plus you can get out of snares/roots (if you don't have the pvp trinket yet, or you're saving it for fears). I swap to ferocity if I'm running into more mobs than my goat can handle. I suggest using a family with either of the two shield ...

Re: Hunter Pet head-turning behavior

I'm on a high latency connection, so I'm not 100% sure, but it might be fixed. at least enough for hunter pets. My Draenor Elekk and Clefthoof are turning their heads when I target them, but in their idle position (and running beside me position) they looking where they're going. I'm trying to remem...

Screenshot Pastiches using Narcissus

Some concepts, using in-game assets, Narcissus , and a little image editing. I know it's not like what the artists in this sub-forum usually do, but it's what I've got for now. We've got a lot of hearthstone visual options, but we're still missing the obvious one: hearthing 2.80.png (spell visual: (...

These are some you've seen, some you've seen untameable versions, and some you might have missed. I'm sure you've seen these stags on Argus, mostly Krokun iirc. Re: The New PetEmote Thread - Shadowlands Prep!

Question about German language. I don't want to overstep any boundaries, but I've been poking around in the code. There's a few things I'd like to customize that aren't set up as customizable. So far I have mine so I can set nicknames for pets, to get around some of Blizzard's restricted characters ...

Re: Shadowlands Pet Bugs & Suggestions

Back on topic, Mammoth and Crab's snare are still channeled, which results in a dps loss when used (especially on auto-cast). No other pet's snare is channeled. I suspect Crab's channeled snare is a bug that's just been ignored for a whole expansion, and Mammoth's data was copied over from Crab. I d...

Re: Shadowlands Pet Bugs & Suggestions

off topic, but the bigots have been especially bad recently. There's not a lot blizzard can get back to you on. Report for language and then put them on the ignore list. If you don't already have an addon like it, then I suggest Global Ignore List . It copies your ignore list across characters, let'...

Re: Shadowlands Pet Bugs & Suggestions

On the subject of turned head, though, this is why I dislike it: turned head.png That's how she stands and how she runs, 95%+ of the time. Her left tusk, which should stick out to the left, crosses over the meridian to her right side. And you can't see it in that screenshot but her frill clips throu...

Re: Shadowlands Pet Bugs & Suggestions

I mean the actual whole npc turning. Like for pets, if you're running and you strafe or turn a little bit, your pet rotates to stay in formation. It's currently instantaneous, and it didn't used to be. The wild NPCs I watched it on were some tigers on the Windward Island in Jade Forest (where cloud ...

Re: Shadowlands Pet Bugs & Suggestions

I noticed how pets animate turning has changed. When you're running along, and your pet changes direction, it snaps to the new orientation. I'm pretty certain they used to take several frames to turn, so it didn't look so jarring. I first noticed a few days before prepatch, on the beta and compared ...

Re: Lowest Cloud Serpent level

Even though the newly tameable models (cloud serpent, ground snake, kunchong, and skeletal hound) are flagged tameable in island expeditions, they aren't currently tameable. I took in a level 20, and there were some ground snakes (also level 20). Beast lore showed them tameable, but I got an error m...

Re: Eyes of the Best - Flying pets who can scout from the air?

I'd be for it too, along with eye of kilrogg (its been able to fly in the past). They may be concerned with using it to get around invisible walls, etc, if you have someone with you who can port to a friendly unit's position. I would add emotes to eyes of the beast. /sit /lay /stand /sleep /dance /c...

Re: how to tame Rajani War Serpent + Sliver of n'zoth

Because it is an unplanned tameable pet. A clever use of game mechanics. You don't HAVE to pvp, the guide at the top describes how to do it without pvp.

Incidentally, you can be in a group, just not a raid (for the second part at least). I got all my kills (both parts) in groups.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

It is so much easier in a group. A rogue good at WPvP can solo it, or maybe anyone if they're ridiculously good. If you aren't bountied by the time you get the quest, you get it after a few same-faction kills. Bounty hunters will come in groups, and they won't count for the quest (wrong faction). An...

Re: Missing Exotic Skills

I tamed a clefthoof at 60. I'm not sure if it had Blood of the Rhino right after I tamed (I thought I checked, but am tired, so maybe I skimmed over it). I definitely had it after I hearthed and went through loading screens.

You can rename them still, you just have to make/buy a Certificate of Ownership. I don't know requiring it for pre-named pets was intentional or accidental.

Two npcs that you cannot sliver: Dexter (black nazjatar lizard), Grong (during the alliance quest chain, changes to beast at one point, but not creature family gorilla).

Non-exotic skills aren't showing up at uniform levels either. I have a level 19 hunter. Its wolf has its snare, but its bird of prey doesn't.
