Okay, I have the new version, and it popped up a message saying that "the following pet(s) cannot be searched for while tamed." Then it only listed Aotona, which was odd, since Kallimon's active pet at the time was Arcturis.... So it seems like my solution may still be helpful after all.....

Exactly. The only time I did this was when I accidentally hit need instead of greed. I won but the guy who wanted it stayed to ask for the item. I gave it to him of course.

I flew through Vyragosa (rare elite dragon at Storm Peaks) and instantly died. It was weird because you usually get several hits otherwise before you die.
