Re: GNOME HUNTERS!?!?!?
I emerge from lurking once more! I would play a gnome hunter all day every day. I don't really see anything wrong with gnomes being hunters if goblins are allowed be hunters AND shamans. If there's one World of Warcraft playable race that is associated with the destruction of nature it's the goblins...

That's very noble of you. :3Kintsugi wrote:I will gladly give up "special" for my other hunters, and hunters who missed them, to have a chance at them. As for the ones that were trick tamed, I'll know who mine are

Re: Reviving the Uniqueness of Hunter Pets
Bats don't have a fear, and I'm talking about something different for the silithid. Two separate abilities or perhaps a different mechanic altogether. For both the Shale Spider and the Silithid being exotics their abilities don't really meet one another. It's the same with the crocolisk and the warp...

Re: Reviving the Uniqueness of Hunter Pets
Here's an example of what I'd like to see. I'll go ahead and also bring up ideas from other pet families. Any of these could be swapped out to replace abilities that another pet already has, or added in. Cats- A leap, as described. Chimaeras- A breath weapon. It could be ranged but would deal damage...

Re: Reviving the Uniqueness of Hunter Pets
Yes, you would be correct, because in the end it was the feeling of accomplishment that made it worth it despite the model no longer being unique. Also, I was testing the Madexx models out compared to their Amber scorpid counterparts and they have a unique sound. More possibilities abound! Madexx so...

Re: Reviving the Uniqueness of Hunter Pets
It's still something we don't need. I think they should use that time and money on making new tameable things instead of making new animations for "rare" pets. It doesn't mean they have to be "new." Maybe to the pets they could be new but there are already spell effects out ther...

Re: Reviving the Uniqueness of Hunter Pets
I like it the way it is really. I don't think we need something saying what's common and what's not. Well, look at it this way. When I spent weeks capturing every color of Madexx, only to have them make all of those color except green available as non-rares it made me wonder why I bothered doing an...

Re: Reviving the Uniqueness of Hunter Pets
My latest significant (IMO) reply to the thread on the official hunter forums. (minus the first paragraph addressing confusion with someone) I fudged the number on the Ravager. I didn't want it to be at 5%. I was quoting what I thought was the tooltip. I also never stated that a pet should have bac...

Re: Reviving the Uniqueness of Hunter Pets
Pets so far, since people were interested. 2 Dragonhawks 1 Crane 2 Cats It seems there aren't many hunters present at either of the times so I'll try again later. On the topic of improving hunter pets people have brought up the concept that more unique models could be created. Perhaps one or two per...

Re: Reviving the Uniqueness of Hunter Pets
Well, here's the "test thread" I tossed in. It was met with even less popularity than this forum. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/11204621037 It explains more of my ideas though people seemed to be more interested in telling me how much of an imbecile I was. Back in the day I NEVER...

Re: Reviving the Uniqueness of Hunter Pets
Something to think about. I use your opinions when I make posts on the official forums. In a week or so I'll probably be done toiling over everything everyone has said and attempt to make something a little more official out of it instead of just plastering it wherever. A little story for you if I'v...

Re: Reviving the Uniqueness of Hunter Pets
You all bring up excellent points. Lets word it this way then. Due to the specs that are currently available would you like to see more unique abilities? I'm surprised nobody has chimed in on the whole thing about the bloat of our action bars. Also, to clarify the whole pet ability thing I mean thin...

Reviving the Uniqueness of Hunter Pets
Posting this for review by hunters. DISCLAIMER: I wrote this on no sleep but wanted to get my thoughts out before I lost them. I'll tell you what I liked, to start this on a positive note. Not that it will get negative except for the improvements I, in my opinion think could be done. First off I li...

I've thought about chipping him when he's older, though a tracking device would need batteries- as handy as it would be.

Re: Kaa Has Arrived! The Reticulated Python
I'm aware of what they're able to do, though I order from Rodent Pro and their jumbo rats are plenty big and I've made it my goal to have my snakes eat heartily but not so much that they're powerfed or become inanimate sausages. Yeah, I know they're generally lazy to begin with but I've seen too man...

Re: Kaa Has Arrived! The Reticulated Python
Thawed jumbo rats, rabbits or guinea pigs. I plan on sticking with rats, since they're a lot cheaper and they'll do just fine compared to the other options.

Kaa Has Arrived! The Reticulated Python
So, after I moved I finally took the leap. Since it's legal to own them here I went and got a rather large constrictor. He's already been worked with for a couple weeks now and he's eating like a champ. When I first got him all he wanted to do was strike and bite bite bite. Now, he sleeps in my swea...

Updating Pet Models and Pet Mechanics
Rumors are abound that while our character models are being updated, that there are also a few updates to pet models being handed out. Not that they replace the old ones, but I would like to applaud this if it's true. Beasts should be updated at some point as well. I want some glorious looking creat...

Yet, Burmese pythons CAN NOT survive in Northern Florida. The point of their false studies was that they could invade a third of the US. Universities around the country have done their own experiments such as one in South Carolina. As soon as fall hit all ten of the Burmese pythons kept in a two acr...
