Re: i have given up on krush. not worth breaking my pc over
I suggest getting a Discipline Priest to help. Fear Ward, uber bubbles and ... Power Infusion. PI turned a friend of mine's tame into a laughably simple affair, she barely took damage, and in about 12 seconds Krush was hers. Alliance and griefers didn't have time to interfere. For even more ridiculo...

Re: Cataclysm Talent System - Completely Changed
There's also no reason that the talent Beast Mastery, as it is now exactly, will be what we get then. 'Taming exotics' doesn't /need/ to be connected to 'four free talent points'. I might suggest not thinking about it in its current form, as that's very likely to change, and disassociate 'exotics' w...

Re: Cataclysm Talent System - Completely Changed
From what I'm understanding, you have to *pick that spec* to get the defining bits of awesome. So the only way to get dual wield as a shaman is to be enhancement, etc. You couldn't talent into it and then have the rest in resto or what have you, the option to get it is simply no longer available in ...

Re: Cunning pets and dps Q.
I've directly compared level 80 pets against eachother, attacking test dummies on their own, etc. Devilsaurs, wasps, wolves, sporebats, windserpents, spirit beasts, silithids, etc. It depends heavily on whether or not you consider 400-800 DPS loss to be significant at TOTC-level gear; the gap may be...

Re: Fjord Crows / Daggercap Hawks / Dire Ravens
If I had any idea how to put up the 'actual pictures', and if I had any idea of what that means I'd totally do it. o_o/
The fjord crow, interestingly, once tamed, shares the 'I can actually fly' model with the dire ravens. The daggercaps are the only significantly paler, crippled flight ones.

Re: Fjord Crows / Daggercap Hawks / Dire Ravens
And it's been that way since WOTLK launched, too. The daggercaps have always been funny flyers, but I only noticed the color difference today while taming a dire raven to compare, as a friend had the daggercap and I wanted to show what the proper flight animation was.

Re: Fjord Crows / Daggercap Hawks / Dire Ravens
I made sure neither were selected for both screenshots. Try it out. the /really/ dramatic difference in colors is at night. It's almost like the Daggercap is permanently highlighted along with flying stupid.

Fjord Crows / Daggercap Hawks / Dire Ravens
I don't know if this has been mentioned but the Daggercaps and Dire Ravens share a model but have different skins. I'm working on getting daytime screenshots. The Dire Raven is much darker, a blue-gray too. The daggercaps are much, much paler (and fly stupid). I don't know why I didn't notice til no...

Re: Skoll
Pick up a pair of addons called NPCscan and NPCscan Overlay. They'll help your Skoll search, and show you right where he pops on the map. I have pretty good luck running into this wolf myself, and other rares. I can usually find Gondria, Loque or Skoll within a day of searching for them on my Paladi...
