I noticed this as well, but my line of thinking was that it made it more fair to other players, since pets are like a mini-player, and it is unfair for them to be invincible while mounted when other players aren't, but that was just what I felt, I could be wrong.

I'll admit that I get many pets because they are rare-unique skins, but I don't get them if I don't find the love the skin too. I agree with Jessibelle, I wanted glyph of greater proportion, just so I could have it on my BM spec. I still think they should have put both in and let players decide which one they wanted, but they didn't so there is no sense complaining about it. I'll just /pout a bit.

I usually have my pets out when I dismount to tame something, I just dismiss them and then tame. The problem stemmed from the fact that my pet was on aggressive at the time so as soon as she appeared she attacked the closest thing to her, which just happened to be Araga.
