I'd say whoever put the most work into getting the pet should get it if multiple people are there waiting, otherwise first come first serve.

Pretty nice to have around, helps save time from searching through wowhead or atlasloot for stuff for a set.
Doesn't help a whole lot if you're looking for something unique that isn't really a set though, but they have a few things like that too.

You can do it with just yourself and a healer, extra DPS make the whole thing easier and faster. I'd like more slots, personally. There's more than 25 families if you want one of each, not to mention when there's 3, 4, or 10 of the same family that you want because of the way they look...

The Ulduar guns fit pretty well, they come in a variety of colors (eg. http://www.wowhead.com/item=45261 ). Anyone know any goggles I could use? http://www.wowhead.com/item=45118 is the only mail pair for a non-engineer I could find. And that's pretty much as far as I am with this... I haven't reall...

Normally: Cat, wolf, an empty spot in case I run into something really cool, spider, & turtle.
I picked up a BM spec yesterday so now it's: Cat, Arcturis!, empty spot for Skoll when I run into him, spider, & turtle.

Edit: Right when I tabbed back after posting this Kirix spawned. Ate this other hunter about 8 times before I tamed him on my second try using the haste buff and the floating rock to get him.

Well I killed Karkin because I couldn't find him a home and I didn't want to just leave it there until someone came by (still haven't seen any other hunters out here 5 hours later) so I grabbed the haste buff and put him down.

It was as humane as a half dozen arrows in the back can be.

Day Six: After camping for seven hours starting right after the server came back up Karkin spawned again. I killed that crab quicker than a cook at Red Lobster.

I feel like tonight will be the night. I'm all alone on the mountain.

The server's been back up for 6 hours and I've been camping the whole time and there hasn't been a respawn. It's been 6 hours since it camp up and 12 hours since it went down. There should've been a spawn by now...

Anyone else seeing anything like this?

Good post, one thing though: I've personally seen 3 hour spawns as well as 9 hour spawns.

All of the following times are Skarr & Karkin spawns that I've witnessed. Gaps in time where I was not online are marked by "???". Times are rounded to the nearest half hour. Will edit as I continue to camp this spawn... Wed. ??? 10 PM - Karkin (killed) Thur. 3 AM - Skarr (tamed) ??? 3...
