I definitely miss the thrill of the rare tame. It was something I looked forward to with every new expansion.
I really hope we get them again but NOT like Nah'qi who was is tied to mythic drops. I like the ones that keep me in the world and on high alert.

Re: Forgotten Gryphon tameable
I don't post here much (obviously) but I got the Forgotten Gryphon last night.
Recently dinged 65, had just gotten to the Centaur storyline in the main campaign. Had no issues with the tame outside of waiting for it to spawn.

I was under the impression that Agonizing Pain was only an ability he had as NPC.

Hmm, I should check that! That's a good thought. Siltstalker has been non-elite / tameable for 3 days for me. Are others seeing the same thing? If she's not appearing that way for everyone then maybe it's something related to me. But if she's that way for everyone, then maybe they changed it recent...

Taming Lalathin in BfA
That would be the corrupted hippogryph in Nighthold. Is she still bugged at a higher level than the player? Does "Love Tap" still need to be up? Because I haven't seen any Nighthold weeklies in months, since I've started checking. And I am checking on a character that did all the Suramar u...

Re: Mana rays
I'd say odds of it being a dire beast are pretty good. I seem to get them as dire beasts constantly.
At least teal should be available for realsies next week!
(Now put the orange ones in game, Blizz)

I have an alpha so they can be tamed.
When I approached it it was asleep with its back to me and I trapped it. It was not in combat when the trap landed. I'm starting to wonder if that's a factor.

Also be sure if you're beast mastery to dismiss pets a bit before taming, if you do it right before then Hati might still linger around long enough to ruin your day.

Re: Panthara taming puzzle-solving thread
Gotta say, I HATE this method of taming. It's plain stupid, no arguments. I got home at 4:13~ my time, discarded my pants, and turned on the game. First thing I did was go over to Krokuun and farm meat. Got three other hunters to join me along the way, and 3 hours later we had 2-3 meat each. Got my...

Re: Panthara taming puzzle-solving thread
As a note in the method I mentioned above I did not use camo at all as I was specced Beast Mastery (no camo). So I can confirm camo is NOT needed but it might help sometimes.

http://i.imgur.com/dzdHuGT.jpg?1 SHE'S HERE, SHE'S HERE. FINALLY. I got my silver kitty and named her Yue. I will confirm that the drop on the meats is absolutely horrendous and I had to kill like war crime numbers of Talbuks. How I got her: I made a macro /tar duskcloak alpha /cast tame beast Firs...

I wish I'd held on to the meat until more people tested taming. Two early on then never again, it's like heirloom drops.

Re: Panthara taming puzzle-solving thread
They really need to buff the drop rate of the meat. It doesn't need to be super high, I am fine with it being rare but spending upwards of an hour doing nothing but kill talbuks is a bit much.

I have wasted two meats on missing a tame and it's driving me nuts. A bajillion kills later no new meat drops.

Re: Panthara taming puzzle-solving thread
It could be that talbuk meat is step one in unlocking the ability to tame the entire panthara group. Like if we tame one successfully we can tame all forever afterward.

Killing Talbuks in Krokun drops https://ptr.wowhead.com/item=153251/fresh-talbuk-meat They stack up to 10 and have a 10 second cooldown each. when thrown at a panthara it reacts and makes them "bloodied". (Taken from the secret finding discord.) So we have a lead everyone! This item must ...

Re: Panthara taming puzzle-solving thread
Has any tried working the angle that you need to somehow get permission from Naroua, King of the Forest? Tried killing Naroua and taming while he was dead, trapping Naroua (can't trap him), and kiting one of the nearby talbuks to his rock and killing it to see if he'd eat it since the cats seem to ...

Re: Panthara taming puzzle-solving thread
I think we should keep trying to figure it out but be open to the possibility that it's just not something we can do yet. I mean, sitting back and doing nothing isn't any fun, is it?
I'm going to keep trying things I'm just not going to make myself nuts doing it.
