I can confirm that if you use mend pet, your mount will heal up. Have not tried exhilaration, but may keep that on reserve for the Garn-Tooth Necklace part. It is a bit of a pain for hunters, especially those that run BM... I swap over to SV with Lone Wolf specced whenever I do these quests. I wonde...
