Re: Special Pets (functional)
I believe it was 1.6 that normalized pets? Attack speeds might not be the exact same across the board, but the DPS will be roughly the same regardless. I don't think any pets have unique move speeds anymore (Mazzranache) and nothing crazy like extra resistances or Lupos' shadow damage.

Re: The 2 main pet that you choose
Probably a wind serpent and a bear. Wind serpent was the first pet I tamed and kept when I started playing after I stumbled upon the Wailing Caverns way back when. They do pretty decent damage and are cool mechanically and visually. And I just love bears. Bears will also eat basically anything and a...

Re: 8.2 Beasts
I'm 90% sure it's already been said here, but the Colossal Sky Ray can be reached with gliders. I just wanted to re-iterate because the one comment on Wowhead tells you to use the Gnomish Gravity Well, which is only available to engineers who spec'd into gnomish engineering. Start in the southwest a...

Re: #saveourstriders
I personally don't feel like it's that big of an issue. Being able to walk on water is infinitely more useful than being able to pick herbs without dismounting, in my opinion, so I can see why they cut the ability out. Sure, it'll kinda sting to not have access to it at lower levels, but I'm excited...

Re: 8.2 Beasts
Tidal Guardians look like worms, the only thing making me think they won't be classified in the worm family is during the stream the guy mentioned them shooting lightning, right now, worms don't do that. While true, and please feel free to correct me because I haven't re-watched the stream, the way...

Re: 8.2 Beasts
I am SO down for this "bobbit worm crossed with anomalocaris with electrified antennae" beastie. As much as I'd wet my pants in joy if we get anomalocaridid pets, battle or otherwise, where do you see traits of one? That's just a normal chitinous look, unless I'm not seeing lobes and/or g...

I'd be down for lobster-beasties. And bobbit worms. And whatever other horrifying creatures they could come up with.

Re: 8.2 Beasts
I mean, lots of old units got a design update, so Tidal Guardians could indeed be those big, chunky fish. It wouldn't be out of the ordinary. Only way to know is to ask Jeremy. Indeed. Even between xpacs things have dramatically changed, like Ravagers between TBC and WoD. I understand that fel magi...

https://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/33/32696/Adsz.35.png Tidal Guardians from Warcraft 3 up close, which I think is way more likely of something we're getting. A wormish/eelish thing like that. ^ That's a mod/custom unit/somethingorother. There's tons that use WoW models or custom ones to update ...

Re: 8.2 Beasts
Not quite segmented, but still a weird giant snake-worm-thing with horns and lightning. Redesigns are fine, but going from this to a giant angler fish doesn't seem right.

Re: 8.2 Beasts
Unless it is this, but this seems to be using the half-buried worm model, which is incomplete and doesn't have any movement animations. https://wow.zamimg.com/uploads/screenshots/normal/834304.jpg Could be getting an "uprooted" model like jormungar. I faintly remember the tidal guardians ...

Re: 8.2 Beasts
Wait, the giant fish are tidal guardians? Am I looking at the picture wrong? He said they could be tamed. In WC3 they were more like giant snakes/worms that spat lightning.

Re: Trigore the lasher?
I still see him every now and then, but his spawn time is insane. Forget 23-25 hours, I've heard and read upwards of 48 hours, and I believe it. I was there to camp when hydras were first made available, and boy, we were in for the long haul. But I'm actually not 100% sure what his spawn timer is. 2...

Re: Kul Tiran and Zandalari hunters' pets guessing game.
Falcon or hawk for KT sounds about right. Unlikely but possible might be an albatross, hermit crab or one of those new sea serpent eel things. Wickerbeasts or thornbeasts would be too much. For Zandalari, I'd expect a ravasaur, but possibly a saurid, ankylodon, diemetradon, or saurolisk. If they dec...

Re: Blood Beast taming search
To be fair, hearthing mid-fight is a pretty easily missed bug, I would think, especially since this was just cooked up and thrown in. It's not gear or anything that "actually" effects the raid or progression or whatever. However, if it turns out that it was just bugged and not being awarde...

Blaze in Boralus Untameable
Sorry if this was already mentioned but I didn't see it on the pet page. They added a team of Dark Iron to Boralus Harbor, including a fiery hound similar to the Dark Iron starting pet. It's hostile to Horde and has been given a family, but cannot be tamed when beast lored. I didn't attempt to try t...

Re: New family?
It could be related to the wicker pup, but I'm of the mind that the Thornspeaker magic and Drustvar witch magic are related/similar, but not entirely the same. The thorn-beasts(?) are still very natural and appear to have bone or wood infused with their body. Wicker beasts look like entirely unnatur...

I'm really, REALLY excited for the purple chimaera/rylak to show up. Brings back fond memories of WC3. http://wow-petopia.com/images/skin_pix/chimera3purple.jpg Also, I'm in the "stay faithful to the originals" boat. Even in completely new models for new creatures, not at all intended to b...
