Re: Exotic Beasts moved to level 39 (~ 98-99!)
Since you should now be able to go from level 10 (post-starting zone) to 50 by playing through a single expansion, you would probably be safe as long as you leave Sholazar for one of the last zones in a Northrend exclusive playthrough.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Do we know whether K.U.J.O. can be tamed in SL, and if this is the case, does he retain his name?
It would be really cool if the answers to these questions were yes.
I figured that, with the other bosses becoming tameable, there would be a chance that this would be the case.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Humans getting wolves as a stand in for dogs makes sense, if only we didn’t already have a hound pet family too. Too bad we still don’t have more real hound breeds than the mastiffs. Otherwise, Gilneans could start with a mastiff and humans with another breed of dog. We have pugs, brewpups (St. Bern...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Darkspear trolls get the green Daenor raptor, which happens to be the pet they are shown alongside of on the character creation screen. https://www.wow-petopia.com/images/skin_pix/raptor2green.jpg Edit: Actually, the pet shown on the character creation screen is the green ravasaur from BFA. I wonder...

Re: Where is the Line Drawn For Intelligent Tameable Beasts?
I am with Qraljar on this. Yeah, we have tamed sentient beings before, but those were just exceptional individuals and not an entire species. Also, I doubt that beings like Nalak being tameable translates into hunters being able to turn him into their companion. That’s just game-mechanics and a way ...

Re: I'm glad Cloud Serpent will be tamable, but...
They don't have to rename the group as Dragonkin to make future tames to be possible. Some pet families had been renamed after Blizzard allowed other pets to be tamed into that family: rhinos for example was renamed into Clefthoof. I don't think they would be an exotic family if they were in their ...

Re: I'm glad Cloud Serpent will be tamable, but...
I agree that they are too distinct from other pets in the serpent family and ought to have one of their own. Either Cloud Serpents, if we want to be precise as possible, or Dragonkin, if we want to leave the window open for future additions. However, should they receive a family of their own, I worr...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Reban is confirmed! Unfortunately T'zala is a mount for the boss and cannot be tamed, or even Beast Lored. Aroim and I were able to clear Kings Rest together. :D Thanks for confirming that the mummified ravasaurs can be tamed. It’s a shame that T’zala can’t also be tamed, since it has the more inte...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Has someone with beta access already checked the mummified ravasaurs in King's Rest? (If yes and it has already been posted in this thread, I am sorry for asking. I only saw the devilsaurs, bone windserpents and bone raptors.)

Re: 8.3 Taming List
https://wow.zamimg.com/uploads/screenshots/normal/695935.jpg Take one of these lads, slap some BFA death magic effects (Drust or Bwonsamdian Blood Moon) on it and call it Xibala <Mother of Rezan>, and you've got yourself a perfect Spirit Beast with ties to the troll Shadowlands. Regarding Kuchong a...

Re: 8.3 Taming List
Speaking of the Ancient Celestials, and sorry in advance for the off-topic post, but as a part-time monk player, I was really hoping that with all the Wild Gods in Legion and BFA, monks would be given some glyphs to swap their Celestial patrons out for some Ancients/Loa more fitting for a night elf ...

Re: 8.3 Taming List
Just noticed that this is the first expansion, since their introduction, that we haven't gotten even one new Spirit Beast. I guess that Blizzard really spoiled us in Legion with all the Hati skins as well as the other spirit beasts it added, but I still can't help but feel slightly let down. (If onl...

Re: 8.3 Taming List
While I understand the concern that bigger stables might make things more impersonal, I think that its effect is mostly negligible. At the end of the day, how meaningful your roster of pets is to you is solely up to YOU. As dated as Loque'nahak and the other Wrath & Cata spiritbeasts look by now...

Re: 8.3 Taming List
PSA: Chicks are back today, EU at least. Unrelated to the chicken, but seeing you on that Chinese New Year mount reminds me of the travesty that is not being able to tame the new pig models Blizzard added in BFA. They look sooo (Triple o for emphasis.) much better than the pig and boar models we ca...

Re: 8.3 Taming List
I wonder whether Alyzra knew of this fact when she agreed to be turned into one. (I'm still salty over the fact that Blizzard never bothered to explain her motivations.)

Re: 8.3 Taming List
I was referring to the Pandaria ones :) But Ursoc still remembers more than just being a bear, doesn't he? Just more like an insane demigod? Ahh, haha, I thought you meant the druids in the Island Expeditions. Well, we've tamed Loque'nahak, Rhukmar, Anzu, Rhukran, Shadra, Blaithe and likely a few o...

Re: 8.3 Taming List
Well, they're supposed to be so far gone that they don't even remember ever having been something other than a beast.
And it worked for that Krokul hunter in BC too.
