As disc, avoid spirit. MP5 is superior mana regen in every way
As holy, spirit is acceptable

If you have mana issues, stack more intellect.

I've been playing guitar for about 7 years now

Spiders/crabs are generally considered to be the best PvP pet if you don't have the 51 pt BM talent

Chimaeras are great if you do, though

BM definitely needs some PvE buffs, I just wish Blizzard would make every spec for every class be viable in PvE and PvP

I think the whole point of a hunter is to use their pet.

And for being the only viable ranged physical class, but pets are indeed one of our defining aspects

The immobilize effect is infinitely more useful in PvP over prowl/rake in my opinion.
