Re: The War Within Beta - Beasts Thread
Everything is so far so good, hopefully alpha will come within this or next week, I wanted to clarify that the mudskipper image you linked above is actually in the ringing deeps, not hallowfall

Re: 10.2.5 Beasts Thread
Unless some big miracle happens next expansion where unused or untameable looks are added like those cloud serpents or skeletal horses and soul eaters, I’m not really counting on it happening since DF was lackluster when it came to old untameable creatures. As much as I want these pets I’ll stay pat...

Re: Hunter Stable Updates in 10.2.7
I think the sorting, search and favorites are the cherry on top for this new UI, I disliked the idea of setting up pets on slots based on family, and spec. Now I can just see them all by search and by sections

Re: Hunter Stable Updates in 10.2.7
I’ve also been using Improved stable frame for a while, and I’m going to be happier with the new one, I suspect the addon caused some problems on my PC, the new one also feels cleaner and again, no more sorting, all will be categorized and I can select favorites

Re: Hunter Stable Updates in 10.2.7
That new stable ui looks great, makes it look more like modern wow, and I don’t have to sort anymore pets now that war within is coming up, and I think the favorite pet system is a huge W. I have loads of pets I love, and now I can actually select the best as favorites

Re: Anyone miss the older models?
Another updated beast with some good and flaws, the black color and the new face and scales make the beast look mighty, the flaws are the missing back armor plating by the neck and those awful new cartoon feet. They could have made the feet more ferocious looking and make the back plating match thei...

Re: Thrill of the tame!! The rush! Missing :(
I was pugging it up but didn't talk to my groups about the tame because I didn't think they would cooperate though I am sure a guild run or hunter only run something like that could work. I think you only need around 10 people to get to Affected Wildlife Yeah that’s the thing. I try to do it solo b...

Re: Thrill of the tame!! The rush! Missing :(
I agree that the last few expansions (since Cataclysm really), have significantly lost the thrill of the hunt for rare pets. I know exactly what you are talking about. I remember when I first tames Rak'Shiri back in Vanilla after having camped for 18 hours straight as a level 57 and being ambushed ...

Re: Anyone miss the older models?
I found another nice model improvement with an off-putting example, it’s the bone and gracile spiders. The way the eyes are placed are so weird, like it has no head as opposed to the older models. The tarantulas look great so no criticism for those at all, but those are weird. The bodies and legs fr...

Re: Anyone miss the older models?
Here’s an example of an old model that I loved but the upgrade didn’t do it justice, it is the gorilla. I loved the old white gorilla, it was one of my favorites when i first found it, when they upgraded it, it became a entirely different model that looked more like a fat chimpanzee rather than a go...

Re: Anyone miss the older models?
I hope the older wolf and hyena animations will go to rest since blizzard has been developing better animated creatures, like the lupine and bakar with the new wolf/dog skeleton. It runs like a canine and stands like one. The vulpine animations could also be used, very sleek and smooth and not jumpy...

Re: Anyone miss the older models?
What happened to the hyena is a straight up crime :C And poor Darkhounds lost all their character. They now use coyote skeleton/animations. Also both darkhound AND hyena both make dog sounds and dog howls. Such a shame. If they had the wolf rig, at least they should’ve kept the superior running ani...

Re: Anyone miss the older models?
A agree, many colors didn’t receive the well deserved update like the red hyena and fawn windserpent, I cannot call it white. Many updates have been only slightly faithful to the original like dark hounds, which went from weird demon goats to lion maned goat horned bull terriers, I like them better ...

Re: Thrill of the tame!! The rush! Missing :(
Now does anyone else feel like they don’t get a mini panic attack (time slows and your shaking like a leave) when that beautiful noise of npc scan picks up a spirit beast, and you manage to claim it! I agree that the last few expansions (since Cataclysm really), have significantly lost the thrill o...

Re: [New Baby Pet] Murkfur Pup
These baby bugs are quite the outrage. Many of those pets are way too cute to get beaten in combat and I understand why blizzard only wants us to take adults. The only currently tameable baby creatures are Flightless teroclaws. I still have my baby mammoth up to this day, although it’s hiding in my ...
