To confirm- I think I needed to return to Oribos first and conclude the questline there following Maldraxxus. I managed to find the green variant afterward (with all house of chosen hostile) near 34.46, 63.78. Awesome!

Saw this today after hopping back into the game in anticipation of the pre-patch. Anyone know what this pet is?

It matched my armor perfectly

The first thing I did when i got to 110 was beg mining guildies to come farm him out for me...

[Edit by Wain] Bug report is here: http://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20749768563 My favorite pet for this xpac is gone. Fel-green spiny basilisks from the tameable mining spawn have been swapped to the olive-green ones. Even stabled/owned ones. Just thought I should let people know. Sigh.

Feltotem Bloodsingers spawn along the road in upper highmountain- I was able to use Beast Lore on the slimes they summon but they are tagged as untameable.

I attempted it anyway and it didn't work. Good attention to detail though.

Apparently only the hidden artifact appearance for fire mages procs this effect, which is why we couldn't get it to work before.

However, upon further testing; just as with the DK effect the appearance doesn't persist through the rez process.

It isn't from the DK or Fire mage artifact effects- I can confirm those don't persist through rez.

You guys really give blizzard a lot of credit where it isn't due... The most disgusting thing, in context, is that this is getting both addressed AND hotfixed even though it is trivial- meanwhile, hunters have broken animations (and that is apparently A-okay), lack abilities and pet interaction, and...

Tried again with a fire mage torching my pet but it hasn't been able to get the effect, so I haven't been able to see if it persists.

As an update; spent time attempting the unholy dk blight effect, got it to proc twice on the pet but it didn't stick on rez or dismissal.

I am hoping to try the fire mage equivalent again just to be thorough.

Anyone have a fire mage with the artifact who wants to grind out some data on this with me?

I had a fire mage kill my pets with the artifact on about 50 times- never got the char effect to proc. They were getting bored and I haven't seen any real evidence this works on hunter pets yet... hoping others have better results The fire mage also said they have never noticed a charred corpse effe...
