That is possible, though I haven't seen any npcs that weren't around prior (in old areas), and I made it a habit to talk to anyone that I was able to. Still, it is a possibility. if we're on "talk to people" maybe talking to a spirit healer in a zone where you should have a spirit gryphon...

The pebbles were around dalaran, there was a whole list of spawn points in the secret finder discord when they thought they had something to do with the worm. They eventually moved on from them, and a new pebble spawns when one is picked up. I doubt it has anything to do with the gryphon though, unl...
