Finally got an Apex. I think it was more the fact I found it alone and had other things picking up aggro at times. This time I used a trap->camo->FD->Meat on trap->tame when you see the splash.

Can confirm that the meat will drop for anyone. Just picked up a piece off the third Talbuk on my shaman in the starting area following Velen.

After about 3 more hours for a 4th piece of meat. The tame on an Alpha failed again. That's 3 fails on the alpha after working fine on a regular blue one. No clue. I'm about to give up on this nonsense though.

So I'm not sure on the drop rate, I've basically been only farming Talbulks in Grove of Naroua and in probably 50 kills I had 3 meats. I went up and down the road a few times killing the fel ones but never had any drop there. On the taming - First one was a lone blue one in the Grove patrolling. It ...
