Maybe many have already noticed, but Elegon (the astral serpent in the Vault of Mogushan) now keeps her name when tamed. Not a big issue though since we can always name change her before.

On the same topic of death Chimaeras, "Satiated Sawtooth", which is a unique quest mob that spawns on Stabbing Wastes, Maldraxxus, does have at least two skins. It can spawn in the purple skin with or without horns. The Petopia page only shows the skin with horns, which is unique.

Clearly it never made it live, otherwise the sheer size of this thing would give me more search results on this...

The following are perhaps already well known, but just to make the list complete: The Lost Spectral Gryphon in Stormwind does not keep her name. Son of the Beast (102 elite, UBRS), the only corehound that uses the old model, does not keep his name, which is a shame. Also in UBRS, Ironbarb Skyreaver ...

I don't have a definitive list, but a number of tameable bosses do. Horridon and Thok (I think?) and the three quilen of Iron Qon. And the new OOX rocket chicken in Mechagon isn't flagged rare but retains its name. I tried Thok yesterday and it does not retain its name :cry:. The quilens of Iron Qo...

I thought that only rare NPCs retain their names after tame. However now we have Ji-kun and a few other bosses doing the same. Anyone has other experiences of non-rare NPCs (elite, uniquely named quest mob etc) retaining their names after tame?
