I am kind of sad this Red Phoenix bird of prey I caught flying around now runs like a road runner. Are there any birds of prey that still fly or do they all run now?

So I came back to the game with a free 70 boost for my char. Well I think I may have screwed myself out of Feathermanes. Because I boosted the character that starts the A Glorious Campaign achievement wont show up...so if I cant do her quest, I cant continue the chain. Has anyone got a fix? Edit-So ...
