Re: The Lich Queen
I mean in the same technical way, any parent could be considered to be creating life for their own purposes (generally carrying on the lineage). The only real difference between creating a 'natural' life and what Sylvanas is doing is that her 'children' have lived once before. Perhaps from a Forsak...

Re: The Lich Queen
It's the same in that the people being made undead don't have a say in the matter. How much 'choice' do they have -- they cannot go back into human society. They can either be rotting hermits or be given some kind of 'normalized existence' by integrating into Forsaken society, working towards the go...

I personally am arguing from Laz's Tauren viewpoint. In 'real life' I don't care. =PSetanta wrote:And how much of this "hate Sylvannas" comes from real life beliefs rather than in game beliefs?

Re: The Lich Queen
Wait.... what? Are you talking about the Gaia Theory? Reincarnation? It's biological fact. When a living thing dies and breaks down, it's remains become the building blocks used to create new life (food for plants, bacteria, animals, etc). All matter is recycled via natural processes. If that proce...

Re: The Lich Queen
Death is a part of life. To break that cycle, in which the dead return to the earth to feed new life, is damaging to nature.

Re: Why so much negativity?
A side effect of cross-server grouping is that there is no social consequence for treating groupmembers like crap. Before, if you were a dbag, word got around on the server and hurt your ability to make a group. Now, there is no such penality, so people feel free to treat others like garbage. Very s...

Re: The Lich Queen
All of that was before the power went to her head. Somebody has to stop her madness. It is against nature to rise people from the dead, and you can argue with that, and She Will Be Judged. This is Laz's view as well. She felt sorry for the Undead before, since they couldn't help what they were... b...

Re: R.I.P Camp T
I have a 'Camp Taurajo' t-shirt that I got way back in the day. It kind of makes me sad to wear it now.
As someone who has played since day 1, losing the original old world is kind of bittersweet in general.

Re: What happened to Shatterspear Village?
Mmhm. I feel so sorry for the Tauren lately... They've lost at least two outposts, their LEADER, and their original homeland... I mean, they've cut themselves off from THE BARRENS, which was where they lived until the Centaur drove them out. What's even worse is that Camp Taurajo is hardly any sort...

Re: The promise of CC in dungeons
I think it may be rough for the first few weeks after Cata, just because so many people got used to AOE steamrolling everything in Northrend that reflexes and thinking skills may be a bit rusty. =P

The Grimtotems have spread, actually.Teigan wrote:Interesting to see Freewind Post indirectly connected to Darkcloud Pinnacle. Are the Grimtotems still lingering about there or where they removed since there were a few quests pre-Cata where you had to rub them out?

Well, the ocean has come into that entire zone and Shimmering Flats since part of the eastern mountain range collapsed. So it's not far fetched.Azunara wrote:You're kidding, right? Please?Jangalian wrote:The best thing about this shot is that it's in......
