Re: Water/Silk striders in Ardenweald

For a VERY short time, there was an exploit for Maldraxxi Hunters that let them engage friendly NPCs. That was fixed very quickly, so now there isn't any way to do it that is known. If it's friendly, you can't tame it until we get another exploit or toy with unintended but accepted side effects.

Re: Necrolord friendly taming (Patched)

Making them neutral would've been the best and most simple option. Such a small change with a significant and much-desired impact.

Re: Necrolord friendly taming (Patched)

I'm glad I didn't change over to Necrolords then! It's a shame it got fixed so quickly, but it makes sense as to why it was fixed. That definitely held one hell of a major gameplay advantage. So many potential exploits it could've led to. While I hope you enjoy your truly unique pets, I sincerely ho...

Re: Necrolord friendly taming

That's absolutely spectacular. What is your method? As in, do you duel, use the bullet on the other player, pop the disguise, and immediately hit tame beast after the disguise is applied? I know I likely won't be able to get to this point since it'll take at least this week and next week (Maybe more...

Re: Necrolord friendly taming

You have to be drunk to see them, but the Pink Elekk from around Allerian Stronghold in Outland are friendly and marked tameable. Assuming one swaps to Maldraxxus from another covenant, is there sufficient catch up mechanics to get this costume in a reasonable time? I'd like to try this out as well....

Re: Shadowlands New Year Giveaway

Though I don't get to use it much, as tenacity falls short compared to the value of Ferocity in my group of friends (none of us play shaman or mage), I have to say this "bird" grew on me the fastest. I was already enamored when these cloudstriders were datamined, as it reminded me of my favorite pet...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Beast lore shows the first two as tameable, and Gorged is not flagged tameable. Ravenous is indeed only up during this hunt, as far as I've seen. I refuse to try actually taming them however, because I'm worried that may trigger the event to become impossible to complete for a whole server. This hun...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Neat. It's part of the Path of Ascension for players who join the Ascended, so maybe it's only available for Kyrian-aligned players?

Re: World First Find?

The dance animation has applied to all of the Zandalari raptor model, since the Zandalari druid travel form is a raptor and they deemed it necessary to give that model a dance animation for whatever reason. The animation itself isn't a world first, but I'm sure nobody went out of their way to try ma...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I realize I didn't word it properly, my bad. I meant that you can invite someone who chose to do Threads of Fate, not that a ToF character can go do the quest. So, if you have access to someone else who is on the quest chain to rescue Alexandros Mograine, they can pull you over to the quest phase.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Good news; the Pale Soulseeker works like this for sync; A) You won't be in the same phase as the party sync initiator, but you will be able to see the pale shadehounds. B) Threads of Fate works, but the thread player must be at least 53. The hound is level 55 minimum. Helped out worg and another pe...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Good news, everyone! I got a US Horde character on the quest for the pale soulseeker, and I'll keep him there until Demon Hunters stop sucking as DPS. It's currently 1 am where I am as of this post, so later today, and a bit throughout the weeks preceding the un-screwing of DH, I'll be throwing part...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Blizzard sure loves changing the most minor things instead of fixing glaring issues, like overtuned Mythic + content and dungeon pets that can't be tamed. I'm sure Malfunctioning Clawguard will be fixed later. Our lord and savior Jeremy won't let us down!

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Welp, time to find someone on US Horde that can pull me over. Nice work finding it!

EDIT: OH, it's in the last few parts of the Maldraxxus questline while leveling without using Threads of Fate. That's a lengthy thing to get to. Sure hope someone on the discord can get an alt up there.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

The only thing I can think of in this case, if Aroim's investigation later into the two named ones end up being grey as well, is that we kick and scream for Muffinus to add a rare somewhere with the pale skin!

Also a plug for plant hydras!

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Aroim and I are trying things, and so far, the only colors we've seen that are tameable are black and grey. Aroim found a pale one in the intro scenario next to the bridge towards Perdition Hold, but it is level 55 and untameable as a result (maybe if someone leveled up in that version of the Maw......

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I couldn't find the large ones when I sent my alt through the maw. Like, I know which one you're talking about, but there were none around. I'll have to find someone to party sync with so I can take my hunter back to that phase, but I legit did not see any of the big ones. I remember them from the b...
