Short and sweet, but this is honestly a great thing. Lots of broken stuff still untouched and unfixed. Also, prepatch on the 13th.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I don't think I recall it being mentioned, but the hounds found in the Maw, such as Crucible Seeker, make the most hilariously annoying CLANG CLANG CLANG sounds when moving.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Saying it that way makes it sound like entitlement. It would've been nice to be invited when it mattered, but it wasn't something that "should" have been done. I'm thankful, just confused and lost since there's really nothing to check anymore except the same few dozen mobs that're broken like the ni...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I got a beta invite too, holy crap! I mean, it's a bit late since almost all the fun stuff was discovered, but still!
...what even should we new invitees look for now, with the expansion coming in less than a month?

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Once it all goes live and I get my panda on Wandering Isles high enough to tame the Guardian, I'll be going to Pandaria (as much as I hate it) for Chromie Time, and I'll check those. Gonna be like 4 days after patch though, cause grinding exp with herbs and ore is gonna suck. Of course, someone else...

Re: Stable Plans, Shadowland edition
I've been pushing for plant hydras since I first saw em in WoD, day one of beta. It's a sin that they're not tameable yet.

Re: Stable Plans, Shadowland edition
I'm greedy, and I have my route mapped out thanks to stalking random twitch streamers and twitter accounts so I know where everything is and the most optimal route to grabbing them with the least amount of teleports. aqir mantidtank_red giantvampirebat_purple rocmaldraxxusgreen maldraxxusboar_purple...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Does First Guardian keep its name when tamed? Cause that's a pretty cool name.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Dear diary; Nighthold scorpids, Emerald Nightmare spiders, and other bugged dungeon/raid tames are still untameable on PTR. Daily bug reports have yielded no reesults, sadly. Also, they still haven't fixed Exotic Beasts being at an unreasonable level 39 rather than the correct level it was before, s...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
The free name change not being there makes sense, honestly. You're taming an already named individual, so there's no need to rename it. This simply makes unique pets more unique.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I think a tamable npc that's not actually available happens because of a twirly mustached ne'er-do-well plotting evil things behind a computer screen. "Nyeh heh heh heh, those blasted hunters will feel the pain once dataminers find THIS in the database!"

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Unsurprisingly, the raid and dungeon tameables that incorrectly say they can't be tamed are still stubborn and broken. No crystal scorpids, no nightmare spiders, no accessible azerite shale worms in MOTHERLODE, and so on. Surely someone will notice all the bug reports one day, but sadly, we're not a...

Not very loyal when it's so easily swayed to be your pet lol. Nice to know it keeps its name.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Blackfathom Deeps (BFD) doesn't have an NPC by that name. You likely mean Battle of Dazar'alor (BOD) though, since that does have them. I saw them when I did a transmog run earlier, but I don't recall if they were already controlled (Like, <doodoohead's minion> or something similar) or just random b...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Echo of the Spy? That's a pretty bad spy if they're making echoing sounds! Nice find.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I had a dream that I was on ptr, and tamed an electrical beaver on the Isle of Thunder. Sadly, it was just a dream, and rodents still suck for variety until Maw rats are widely available. RIP. It's safe to assume that the hunt for new tameables is over for now, yeah?

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
The build literally just got posted, and Wowhead's slow on properly updating. Tameable Elegon wasn't even listed for like 2 hours, for example.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Wowhead may be trolling us, or it could be a change we've wanted. https://shadowlands.wowhead.com/npc=175254/darkwarren-matriarch EDIT: Also a few more beasts, some obviously wrongly classified. https://www.wowhead.com/news=318046/possible-new-hunter-tames-in-shadowlands-build-35938-including-slime-...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Likewise. I checked all the instances we all keep checking (as well as the mandragoras because I keep dreaming), but nothing has been fixed yet. Hope they fix this before live, because there's really no reason for the bug to begin with. Anzu was fixed, so these should too.
