Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Oh man, so many good looks. Thanks for the early look at the models, Wain! I see I'm going to be taming a lot of Teroclaws once I go to Bastion, and that wacky purple stone turtle is definitely an eye catcher.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I can't wait to see that funky turtle he mentioned. That one's got my interest the most right now, even though I'm DYING to see the new juvenile thunder isles birds. We've got months before the expansion, so take your time Wain!

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I think Blizzard forgot they gave us a Rodent family. So many good options to add, but they never did add any. Would be nice to get a Maw Rat, even if the texture looks like a critter's.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

So, those things use the bear animations, right? I fear using the piccolo to make them dance. I can totally see them start smiling while they dance, and it horrifies me.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I can just imagine it now; all Death Wargs are "voiced" by Patrick Warburton, just saying "bark bark", "Growl", and saying other onomatopoeia sounds you'd expect from a weird manbear. Unless they do this, Shadowlands is CONFIRMED the worst expansion.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Found a screenshot of the white-gold flightless Bastion Teroclaw. It's not just a new texture, but a modified model too. Not a major modification, but it's noticeably different. In a good way, for the record. EDIT: Not a modified model, I just never noticed the giant fingers in the original's model....

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

They're saying the windsteeds may be getting called Qilin/Kirin instead, which is the oriental mythological beast that the windsteeds are based on. It's wishful thinking at best right now, but since Quilen (A weird misspelling of Qilin, perhaps?) are being renamed to Stone Hound for whatever reason,...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

The flightless one gets HOW MANY NEW SKINS? My god, I'm going to have SO MANY NEW BIRDS. Can't wait to see the models after your nap. That last turtle sounds neat too.

Re: Shadowlands General Discussion

I personally don't have interest in the new skin tones, but I'm glad there's new options. Blood Elves have always been one of the less visually appealing races, at least to me. I can barely stand my Void Elf main lol. As for the comment section, I can handle reading dumb opinions. I'm never bothered...

Re: Shadowlands General Discussion

Blood Elves got the High Elf eyes. COULD just be an option in the editor for NPCs only, or it might actually be an option that players can use. https://www.wowhead.com/news=311958/new-blood-elf-character-customization-options-in-shadowlands Also, read the comments when you get the time. Some funny t...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I rarely check MMOChampion since it's not as good a resource as wowhead, but they had this screenshot of one of the new Ji-kun birds. https://forums.wow-petopia.com/download/file.php?id=30191 Edit; saw a new crane skin on Sloot's stream, but wasn't quick enough to cap it. Similar to the above bird, ...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Is it me, or are the goat's rear legs kind of dangerously anorexic? Like, it looks like you could kick them and the leg would go flying off the body.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I didn't catch WHERE they were, but I saw a recolored Teroclaw Chick. "Anima-Starved Cloudfeather" or something along those lines. I saw it on Sloot's stream somewhere before reaching "Agthia's Repose" in Bastion. It was inside of a tunnel, but he was zoomed way the hell out so a screenshot wouldn't...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Decomposers are some of the coolest bugs they've added by far. The small worms look to still use the same crocolisk animations as every other grub, while the medium decomposers look like they use the krolusk animations. Assuming they are tameable, what family would they fit in? Clearly the wasp goes...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Looks like the Ardenweald grubs have the same flaw as the tameable caterpillars; they are another battle pet model, but scaled up. Real shame since they look so good.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

All of those Decomposer models, holy crap. I don't know where I want to go first when I level my hunter now. Death Wargs are disgusting. They're bears with human-ish faces. Gonna hard pass on those if they're tameable, because those are not the cute kind of ugly. They're the hairy butt pimple kind o...

The turtle, boar, and roc are by far my favorites. Not sure what that last one is below the roc though.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

The streamer is automating every model right now. Some nice looking monsters and colors. REALLY digging the Maldraxxus Roc and that crazy boar thing. Really can't wait til they upload the models, because there's so many nice things. Mostly Maldraxxus-esque things, so far. EDIT: There was a turtle th...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Caught this in the model datamining that wasn't saved (for obvious reasons). Would love a checkerboard spider. OMG TEXTURE ERROR SPIDERS CONFIRMED.png EDIT: Saw some names. RocMaldraxxus RocMaldraxxusMount We may have a cool new bird in the skellyboy zone. Hope the model guy actually shows it. EDITE...
