Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

So it's skittish when not tamed? Neat.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

You definitely won't be the first to get them lol. You just know there's some psycho out there with ten RTX cards jammed into each of their monster rigs, with the best internet speed available to non-Google executives, just waiting patiently on multiple accounts. Someone's gonna be first, and it won...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

So, yeah. I looked at the stable and saw a mammoth for the first time. I don't want this changed on live.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

This got me thinking; what if the bone binding tome is locked behind a world quest on a random mob?

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

That's more of a chair than a couch, unless that perspective is skewed too much. I'd totally want that as a pet though, not a couch.

Pre-Patch Taming Routes

So, I did a thing while playing on beta after getting my invite. I actually wrote down my path of when I tamed each creature I wanted, in order of when I tamed them. I thought to myself "Surely I could improve this order when the expansion launches", since I did kind of go out of my way to grab stuf...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Now that's a very random location. Nice find! That's 4/6 Ardenweald toad skins on tameable mobs now.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Odd, I'm on the beta right now, and I just tamed Tsulong. I didn't get the book when I first started beta, but I went in and tamed it after grabbing Huolon. Did you try taming it, or just beast lore? EDIT: Just to make sure I wasn't talking out my rear, I did a quick and sloppy video to prove it. Ex...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Knowing when undead doesn't mean you knew when alive. Undead in Warcraft have shown that they learn stuff just like any non-undead would, and normal living people tend to avoid dealing with the undead when it's not a hammer to a decrepit skull. A better way to look at it would be that you're taming ...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Forsaken have it by default (total BS, but that's my opinion), but you have to find the tome somewhere for other races. The tome's location is entirely unknown sadly, so if you find it, you have a duty more important than even breathing to report that. It's been a mystery for too long.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Fun side note; there's some deer and stags in the quest chain "Visions of the Dreamer:", and although friendly and unlisted as beast, they show that they are tameable. The only thing you can do to them is right click to eat them. I'm totally taming a Patterned Grey Stag and naming it Food. Capture.P...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I just realized that I hate the delay. IF they fix the pink elekks that spawn during Brewfest so you can tame them, then it'll be a whole year before we can test their taming availability. Prepatch is next week, while Brewfest ends this week. At least there's the pink elekks in Terokkar Forest (Outl...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

As I mentioned, it is indeed unique enough to be a faux "badge of honor" to show off. It's the only topaz-colored shale worm that has a strong green glow. Take note of the three tameables here; https://www.wowhead.com/npc=34865/tunneling-worm https://www.wowhead.com/npc=50060/terborus https://www.wo...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Found the list of NPCs that can be done for account-wide exp, but there's sadly only five quests. For a fresh Goblin starting on Kezan, I can confirm that all five are viable. - Old MacDonald - Lindsay - Eric Davidson - Bill Buckler - Dagra the Fierce The experience gain is good; slightly more than ...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Mind giving me a list of those pet battles? Cause I tried a few on live, and they didn't let me turn em in on my neutral panda.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Sadly, can confirm that party sync doesn't help in Kezan. Same issue with Pandaren where you can't party sync at all. That early gyreworm is definitely untameable in practice.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

While not listed on the site right now, I assume this might be on that list of changes; Nesting Valeshrieker in Ardenweald retains its name when tamed. It also breaks the quest when tamed.

EDIT: I'm being teased with more plant hydras in Ardenweald, and they've literally got "Hydra" in the name.

Cloudfeather Patriarch is now named Cloudfeather Guardian. Thought I found a new thing, but it's just a rename.

Shadowlands Delayed - No Longer Oct 25 Release

https://www.wowhead.com/news=318294/sha ... -this-year

Short and sweet, but this is honestly a great thing. Lots of broken stuff still untouched and unfixed. Also, prepatch on the 13th.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I don't think I recall it being mentioned, but the hounds found in the Maw, such as Crucible Seeker, make the most hilariously annoying CLANG CLANG CLANG sounds when moving.
