But I have to say that the bear's dagger has looked like this the whole time. It's a shame, you now get the right thorn, but the dagger seems to be unfinished, it's not an item that you can use, if you right click on it it just disappears and, if there isn't another npc, the npc/name change works obviously not with that either

After reading the article of Anu'relos.. it seems that this mount is the key to get the druid form of the Flame Owl, the idea that the Hunterpet is tied to it in the same way... isn't that unlikely

How do you get it to even look like that? I just get a vertical column like this. What you posted looks excellent, but I can't seem to find where that even is. It's pretty clever to replace the npcs as soon as you have the necessary item ^^
Exactly the fact that it is untamable, alone and the only npc with this name as far as I could see and of course because it can spawn in 3 colors
I hope that it will be fixed in the next build D:

They have changed Nah'qi, we now need an item to tame her/have to learn it

I just found Argyr in one of the new colors, The initial dreamstag was the autumn fire colored one, that one became the black variant, if I guess this correctly, if Argyr spawns as a green dreamstag, it will be a green thornbuck Edit - knives get consumed as intended after use :( exactly :) yep sad...

The Bear Heart drops now but seems to be bugged, I got a stag thorn from the bear heart

Because he is one?
He is not the first beast repainted and turned into a spirit beast ^^
Although that doesn't necessarily apply to him, there was a missing bear color, they just saved it/ used it for this spirit beast
