There is a new mana wyrm with a unique appearance. The Empowered Wyrm has an effect to it that makes it appear brighter than the normal variant. The one on the left is the Empowered Wyrm, the one on the right is just a normal wyrm that I tamed in Azsuna for comparison. https://i.imgur.com/riQLyvy.jpg

The hounds in that area have been tameable since the caverns have been open, as far as I am aware.

There is also a blue rock mouse without the neck ruff.

A white rock mouse without the neck ruff was added today.

It's hard to say. It is possible that it was made tameable years ago and just no one noticed and reported it.

They are counted as Core Hounds.

I don't see Blizz adding more stables slots for now. It could happen, of course, but with us having 200 slots available I just don't think that they'll view adding more as a necessity.

The Blue mana serpent is now available. In a recent build they added the npc, Mana Wyrm, to the Forgotten Reach. It can be found in the War Creche.

Yes, I remember how things were in the first couple of xpacs. What I'm getting at is Blizz adding additional families wasn't at all necessary, let alone going out of their way to do taming passes and to make additions based on community requests. Nothing required them to make Nether Rays, Devilsaurs...

As Wain said in another post, no other class gets nearly as much cosmetic attention as Hunters do. Pets, in the end, are cosmetics, and Blizz is under no obligation to have added as many families as they have or to listen to requests on new additions. Congrats! I'm glad that you were able to get it.

Some types of rares would no longer be rare permanently or just for a day, but now they will all keep their status and will either no longer drop special loot ("rares" that are almost always up) or will only drop loot for the first time you killed them for that day.

I always put the bait outside of the cave - about halfway between the cave entrance and the hill opposite of it. It is possible that it is just bad luck or something has been changed.
