Re: Direhorns- What are they good for?

It says in game on the tooltip that it's a spell-reflect. ;) Managed to get one and check it out. Strange, in my game, the spellbook ability says "Deflects," the channeled cast says "Deflecting," and the spell animation looks exactly like the Emperor's Courage shield effect. Per...

Re: Direhorns- What are they good for?

Has it been verified as a spell reflect? Because it sounds more like a 6-second damage immunity, similar to a turtle's shell shield. Especially since it's another tenacity special ability. Edit: the animation of the ability might even be similar to that of the Emperor's Courage in Mogushan Vaults -...

Re: Patch 5.2 Intro

Slaves and trolls and dinos what more could I ask for nothing really <3 .....maybe Murlocs XD We did get Murlocs, in a way. The Jinyu were magically evolved from Murlocs. I think Virmen stepped up to take the Murlocs' place of annoying killer varmints. I wonder what happened to Kobolds... ;)

Re: Is it time to end the "Stalker" series of armor?

I was thinking it looked something like the old Celtic mythical figuers, the horned god, "horne" (Herne) the hunter... But then I realized it looks somewhat like a (RL) Siberian or Mongolian shaman... National Geographic has been doing articles on them recently, here's one: http://ngm.nat...

From a quality standpoint: They're both from the same maker and are made from the same kind of steel and have the same finish, so I'd be stumped as well if I had to choose. Practicality-wise, they're also both machetes, same blade length and both as durable as heck. Style-wise, though, I lean towar...

Re: Is it time to end the "Stalker" series of armor?

So... let me ask this... What are we going to get when Garrosh is the final boss? Are we going to wear his head for a hat, or are we going to get something like boar-stalker, because those little boars outside of Org are so dangerous... O.o Think of it in connection to the titles we earned from pas...

Re: Is it time to end the "Stalker" series of armor?

Me too... I've been farming them for over a month now and all I really need is the gloves. Nobody makes the blacksmith equivalent, at least not as far as I've seen. :P The belt would be nice too, but I have the dragonstalker belt and that's both color-correct and period. At least it drops from the ...

Server Restart January 25

Should be back up in about 45 minutes, they say... it's to fix an issue impacting the game.

Wonder if we'll find out what it is... 8-)

Re: EDIT: Taming Buff Pets in 5.1 FIXED

Now that the loophole has been closed, does anyone know where we can find a list of the "bad" buff pets? I'm sure there is a way for them to allow us to tame our shiny special pets AND prevent the combat-related buff abuse. I'm of the opinion that all us hunters should get a petition toge...

Missed it, then... because I couldn't decide which pet to release.

Guess I should be happy that I missed it because of that, of all things.

Edit: And now I have to decide what to get rid of to make room for a triceratops. Grnblrmblrnr....

Re: Taming Buff Pets in 5.1 --Guide--

Indeed. They even went as far as to say it would be dealt with on a case-by-case basis to see if the appearance effect was actually being complained about by other players, and whether such complaints were valid. Shortly before that communique, I posted the following (2 years ago now): I've made th...

Re: Could you tell me what this is ?

No, the trick with the Grimtotem Spirit Guide was to tame them before they despawned. Most successful tames were done with a Pally or Shaman's buff. I tried to solo it by with drums of battle, but never succeeded. :(

Re: So I decided to camp Acroniss...(also..login screen?)

I find pets are bugged on the login screen, sometimes they show, and other times they dont. Like sometimes my Jormunger is beside me, other times it isnt, same for my arcane wyrm, and several other pets. Patrannache is one of those. First time I noticed it I logged back in and out agin to make sure...
