Yes, as many times I had to FD to not die. However, once your initial tame has failed, any further tame during that pull will not benefit from your haste pot and scorpid sting so more chance your friend grabs aggro etc or the knockback keeps interrupting you. I had a a few tames with 0.1 or 0.2 seco...

I never bothered with BW or a throw away pet. If you stand in the corner when you pull ( by the straw) he won't fear you so the BW to me seems pointless. Pull at max range with the sting and hit the tame macro ( and then pray )

I honestly can't remember, but different people use different things. There is still a huge portion of luck involved.

Also are you using rapid fire in the tame macro?

Well my gear is far from great, so just stick to it. Also if you're an alchemist etc the pvp trinket and lifeblood make for a nice combo to use in your tame macro

I think I had about 500 and then used a pot, his knockback is the reason the tame is so tough. I also spec'd specifically for improved aspect for the extra dodge. Make sure you pull with scorpid sting. Also, a tip if you have 60 spare frost badges go get the tanking trinket which will help you absor...

You might be able to input that ID and name into NPCscan and have it scream when you call that pet out, make screeny etc.

Senna, actually the same sort of discussion is going on in The Beast thread currently, and Taluwen had agreed with my thoughts on the matter (which are the same as yours), so I don't think that's what she means by huge nerf. I think she was implying that the tame itself was being nerfed to easy-mod...
