There's a lot of these threads already, but I wanted to share the amazing fun I had tonight with the taming challenges. <3 Mostly not for myself though, but to help a friend. Here is a simple way of explaining it that i use on other people who try BM and dont use KC. Kill command is like Survivals explosive shot or like marksmanships aimed shot. This, is how I plan to go if I ever get to see Magria alive. I've still got my trinkets and rings and a neck for some extra stats, but none of them have got armor on, so I don't think he is going to rip me a new one.

As far as I recall, Rares have never shown the dragon icon on their Unit Nameplates. Only Elites do (or Rare Elites. And Loque is a normal Rare nowadays).

Just finished up on Al'akir for this week and started wondering why Bliz could not have just let flying pets keep their wings, and not clip them? :< I don't know if it'd give some kind of unfair advantage to them on certain fights (can't think of any on the spot) though, but it would help BM hunters...

Atramedes is a pain in the ass for BM hunters because your pet's doing NOTHING during the air phases. It's not even the movement that's the problem; it's that your pet can't reach the boss. I don't grasp how those BM hunters are doing 20k sustained. I do 17k+ unbuffed on a dummy, and 22k+ in 5-mans/BH. This, mind you, is *completely* in PvP gear, with a couple blue accessories. It depends what you're doing with your hunter. If it's 5-mans or raids it really is best to use a pet to cover a missing buff, even if that buff isn't the most useful to you personally. I'd recommend cat, wolf, raptor, ravager and windserpent/dragonhawk. See what your groups might be missing here: ...

I've solved 13 of those jars, and yet to see the bloody pattern. >.< I had to wait for someone on my server to get it first. I had already collected the mats weeks before, and when I heard someone had finally gotten the pattern on my old server, I was very happy to pay 5k for the craft. >.<
