Besides, if they're willing to come along as a mount, then they're already domesticated, pretty much.

For perspective, we had like eight Legiondaries drop in my raid the day 7.1 dropped. It was ridiculous. But we were a) a guild b) doing heroic. (And I'd gotten my second Legiondary on KB earlier that day in my m+ chest.) So it does seem like the odds are in favor of those doing endgame content.

I don't actually know how to respond to this.

I've done plenty of content on Kalli as well; she's just not as lucky.

(Not that either of KB's legendaries is hunter-specific....so in a way, I'm unlucky across the board.)

So I had a weird situation in which I picked up the quest on heroic, had to collect the bandanas on normal, then turn the quest in on heroic.

No idea. I got no drops on heroic.

I'll eventually have to buy that and mog it on characters who can use either of those sets in order to go buy the plate/mail sets. Sorry. It doesn't work; you have to be wearing the original. As such, you'll have to farm the set on a character who can wear the outfit. Both of which are BoP. So farm...

Scarlet set is sold at the darkmoon faire. You have to wear your (REAL) Scarlet tabard, not a mog of one, and talk to the emissary that's hiding in a tent behind the animal pens. You have to be on a plate or mail wearer. My priest has the tabard and the only thing the vendor has for her is a specia...

@Wain and Kurasu and anyone else having trouble with coins: they can sometimes show up in class hall missions as a bonus reward. It can help your odds, at least if your team is decked out.
