What a jerk of a move. Also, Wicked, they hotfixed the rares immune to taunts and DS, to prevent nicking tames with those spells.

I was one of those people who got the glitchy dailies on the first night, and saw all the rares up at the same time. So no, I don't think they're tied to each other in any way.

This was said in another thread already but, the 2-5 hour spawn timer was probably just for ptr, where they're lowered for testing purposes. So the actual timer on live servers is likely to be much longer.

Uh.. I can't... really quite see this bill going through to be fair. Also, as far as I know, Blizzard is very much on the positive side when it comes to people making machinimas of the game.

There's been scheduled restarts on the EU servers at least, at 5-6 am since the patch. I wonder if that is affecting the timers?

Pretty sure that's what has happened. I'd say the 6-12 is closer to the actual timer, if not 24.

Quite sure it's intentional like Lupis said. It's a useful buff all around the plume, not just for the two rares. Some of the mobs there have got over 150k health and spawn at a reasonable rate so, makes it a bit easier to plow through.

Ah of course, this is great news! I noticed the buff when I was helping a friend get up to the plume, but didn't really give it a thought at that moment how big a help it could be to a non-MM hunter.

Ah the Ulduar ones~ I've actually got the bottom one as my desktop background!

They cast two spells from what I've seen. Fireball, a single target spell that also gives them a haste buff. And the barrage, that hits everyone nearby for crap loads of damage and also interrupts any spell casts (like tame beast).

The method I used was: Hit tame (or hit the beast a few times with arcane shot or else to prevent theft) and wait for barrage, hit silencing shot, Deterrance and then Tame. Also, Karkin (not sure if Skarr does too) seems to cast "normal" single target fireballs as well (They seem to add so...

You are on the lonely rock high up in the air on the left side, right (That one doesn't break. It's also one of Karkin's/Skarr's spawn points)? Try to stand on the very edge of the pedestal, it worked for me.
Like Zmoni said, the pedestals on level with him, cause him to evade.

You would think people would have more respect towards hunters than that. I just watched the Hyjal Scout die and spawn the little green spiders. They are NOT tameable, and they despawn in about 45 sec.
