Today I was making a taming macro for my hunter. I wanted to try and make a macro that would dismiss my current pet, cast Gift of the Naru, then tame the targeted beast. Well I inadvertently typed abandon into the macro instead of dismiss. If that wasn't bad enough, I tested the macro... with a pet ...

How much room do you have for alts? Start several hunter alts with the plan of having 1 hunter with every wolf skin, and 1 hunter with every bug skin, and 1 hunter with every cat skin... etc... see where I'm going with this? Or start a toon from each race and play through all the new starting areas....

I alwyas thought a quest line like this would be fun. Maybe a 3 part quest, where you have to free an animal, quest with the animal (It controls it's own actions), then kill a boss with the animal (You control it's actions). Then the animal would decided to be your companion and accompany you on fur...

Sell the scraps. I'm getting about 60G a stack for scraps and 200G a stack for leather, so i actually make more gold from the scraps. Check your AH and see what the scraps are going for.

Too bad they couldn't change it so the pets didn't have to be killed. Maybe you just tag them or something. They could give you a special dart gun when you enter Northrend and all you have to do is hit the rare once to Nessingwary can track it. Then it would stay alive for taming.

Just noticed my really cool sig of my pets now shows up as a box with a 403 error in it. Anyone else having this problem?

Think of it this way.. we're all beta testing the taming feature and finding bugs in the game.

Oh, if anyone has problems doing these tames, check your video settings. I ended up having to turn my setting down to the LOW setting to be able to spam the macro fast enough. Once I did that, I got the tames on the first try.

No, I was actually out in Dustwallow in the Grimtotem area looking for a wolf. LOL So, once I reliazed I was looking for the wrong animal, i went to Ashenvale and tamed one for both my hunters. Oh, and I got my Ally hunter an oil stained fledgling AND wolf.

I have 74 mini pets and use GupPet so the lamb isn't out often. Maybe I'll have to intentionally bring it out on raid nights to watch everyone's reactions. lol

So i'm in Mulgore taming Ghost Howl on my 80 Draeni hunter. I stop to talk to someone, and an Elwynn wolf spawns, runs over, eats my Elwynn lamd mini pet, lays down, then despawns! I've never jeard of this before. I assume it has something to do with the mini pet, but i'm not sure. Anyone else ever ...
