Re: What is this fire pet?
It might be hotfixed. I tamed mine, and a friend got one too, but our third and fourth guys have been getting this: Tame 3 seconds in, seed Explode Raptor/Bird corpse, not a fire patch It is, as of 6:21 p.m. PST Aug 18th, not hotfixed. I also had that problem, it is simply a timing issue or a glitc...

Re: What is this fire pet?
It's POSSIBLE that the Fire Pet will be the new Slime (makes no sense but they didn't take it away), though very improbable in my opinion. What worries me, as I've been helping people with this tame all day, is the fact that this quest creates an easy source of damage glitched pets. Besides the 'pla...

Re: What is this fire pet?
I'm gonna have to agree that this pet could mean trouble. It's 'buff' was meant to kill it and if its not targetable, it's definitely an exploit. We really shouldn't be promoting hunters to get an exploit. It's one thing if it just altered the appearance. It's another when it becomes an advantage. ...

Re: What is this fire pet?
EDIT: Some tips from my experience. 1) The quest is called Sowing a Solution ( http://www.wowhead.com/quest=24566/sowing-a-solution ) Available to BOTH factions. They are the druids from WC, and not associated with the Horde - I think. 2) It requires two quest to be done before it - but they're easy...

Re: Alliance Hunter - what race combination?
Nelfs are always my favorite. It's the race that seems the most in tune with nature and animals, the flighty, gracefulness they exude just resonates with hunters leaping through untamed wilderness. Ah, I've waxed poetic. They're also invaluable for PVP servers, since you dismiss/prowl your pet and b...

Anyone seen the High Society's Top Hat on the PTR?
GM responses linked on the item page indicate that it's not dropping yet on the live servers, so I was wondering if anyone's found the pattern or seen someone with it on the PTR. It's a blue pattern which makes it rare, but blue shouldn't be so rare that you never see a single person with it.

What is the name of this coat?
http://www.wowwiki.com/Jack_%22All-Trades%22_Derrington
Jack Derrington is sporting a smashing jacket ensemble and I simply MUST know where he got his coat from. Has anyone seen an item like it? (I need it for a Layton RP set )

Nuzlocke Challenge: WoW mode
I've been Nuzlocking my Pokemon games for a while now, and I realized the same concepts could be applied to hunter pets in WoW. I tried it out on a few fresh alts, and it's surprisingly fun. If you don't know what I'm talking about or would like to try it out, here are the rules: The Two Rules of Nu...

Re: Going for the Professor title... Worth it?
Ah, you all are so funny. Thanks for the tips! I am sticking to Eastern Kingdoms since I have the Death Gate spell (Yes, I know Mage would have been more appropriate for the summoned tea, but I a) wanted the FP's and b) Zombie Luke was too humorous in my mind.) Kalimdor will be my next stop once I g...

Going for the Professor title... Worth it?
I was so ecstatic finally grabbing a rare artifact (A wee Fossilized hatchling) and landing the Assistant Professor title on my character, Layton. (Maybe... 5% of you will get the reference. It's a good game.) Anyway, I'm walking around SW feeling pleased as punch, till I notice, "Wait... that ...

Re: Pet AI
It's possible. I' noticed in Zul'Furrak that as soon as I'd down the mob I was focused on, my arcane shot spam-targeting would automatically go to the totems up, the choose another target once all the totems were down. This definitely did not happen before the Cata patch.

Re: How To: Tame Pets With Appearance Buffs
You didnt read correctly as i stated its the "CALL PET" ability then dismiss, not just dismissing a current pet. Don't do this then mount up and go to new pet thinking it will work. you must do this while at the new pet to be tamed. Example 1: You get to beast you want to tame with pet al...

Re: Pets With Appearance Buffs no longer tameable
As of Dec 14 at 11:59 am (after weekly maint) I was able to tame Lone Hunter and the oil stained wolf using the abandon macro. The oil wolf I got on first attempt, with Lone Hunter it took me about a dozen tries to get it to stick and he does have the sword in his head. So all this talk about a hot...
