Re: Hydras WILL be tameable!!!!!
... Therefore, think we can use this argument on Noah? That getting *to* him and surviving long enough to tame without having to solo-kill would be good enough to allow him to be a tameable creature? ;) I have a probably unpopular opinion. But I don't think that's a good argument. Getting to him an...

Re: New Pets in Alpha notes?
Ooh, really curious to see the river beast's in game model. They look a lot like the seal/walrus things we have currently, but better able to walk around on land. (I still think it would be kind of cute to have tameable seals though who flop around behind you) I want aquatic form to be able to be a...

Re: Changes to Hunter Pet Families in 6.0
I like that silithid still have some sort of cc. And that cranes will get battle rez, quillen just seemed weird (and I just got a crane because of the appreciation thread).
My fears about pet abilities have been laid to rest. But my "5 pets to draenor" list is probably inaccurate now.

Re: 6.0 Hunter Patch Notes
If you're unhappy with the cc changes... blame the pvpers. I'd apologize for using my silithid's webbing, but I really don't think the hunter's pets are the worst offenders cc wise. I think taking out tons of hunters' pets cc makes it look like they are putting a handle on pet CC, even though DK, w...

Re: 6.0 Patch Notes
But I liked Silencing Shot.... How do you stop a cast now, without it ? Interrupting shot. I really hope they come up with new pet abilities instead of just giving them all +crit or other pre-existing stuff. There's only so many options though. I doubt there's that many different 'utility' type abi...

Re: Alpha Testing has begun!
A lot of pets have lost their abilities, pretty much all CC abilities are gone*. Hyena loses it's attack speed buff. Sporebat's buff now includes attack speed, iirc. And I think the -armor debuff pets could do is gone. I eagerly await to see what all those are being replaced with. Hopefully some new...

Funny. Non-class glyphs would be awesome though.

Re: What are you doing while waiting for the xpac?
Daily CD chores, pet battles, arenas, old stuff for transmogrification (solo and group). Occasionally I'll progress an alt through the cloak quest chain. I've mostly finished with timeless isle (spineclaw minipet took sooo long), except for bloody coins. I could get in the mood to level alts, I did ...

New emotes would be great. I expect the real female draenei preview is coming soon, the wire frame doesn't have the slack jaw.

Re: GNOME HUNTERS!?!?!?
*shrug* I shouldn't have to read a novel to know what's happening in my game. They (or some enterprising fans) should make machinima to explain key events. For example, just from doing the Theramore scenario (alliance), I had no idea that so many alliance lore characters were killed. For me, Theram...

Re: EDIT: All found!
For scourged whelpling, I made a DK on a Latin American server. There's a flight to Dalaran when you show up in the starting northrend towns. And from Dalaran there's a flight to the tournament grounds in northern Icecrown. There's 1-2 spawn points you can reach without pulling mobs (which will dest...

Re: Dragon Soul LFR
If you're looking for achievements, there's frequently DS achievement groups. They skip a few (holding hands, which a hunter can solo on normal. And the one where you spin Deathwing on spine is too frustrating in some groups). I hope they go through with this, or at least add an npc that lets you ex...

Fen Strider swimming
I always thought that most of the beasties in Zangarmarsh looked a lot like alien sea creatures. Sporebats, Nether Rays (I guess they're Sea Rays or Sky Rays without having been exposed to the Twisting Nether), and hydras have swimming animations or flying animations that double well as swimming ani...

Re: Magic-like pet?
The blue runed demon dog is what I immediately thought of when reading the post. The second thing was arcane wyrms (serpents that float around, like in northrend). There's rares of both below 60. You could also try something that is like a wizard or witch's familiar, like a raven (bird of prey (2 mo...

Re: Class suggestion for WoD Lore
Technically, we're not going back in time. We're sliders, kind of. Ok, I guess the duplicated Draenor isn't as far from the timeline split as we are, but I think of hunter or mage, and hunter would fit better. As I understand it, we're being sent as a 'small' group of heroes to infiltrate Draenor an...

Re: Random Pet Family Appreciation Thread #?: Cranes!
The lack of decent ability for pve or pvp has made this family unattractive to me. But you've sold me, when I get back in game, I'm going to take a crane for a test drive.

Re: GNOME HUNTERS!?!?!?
The playable gnomes in game are urban with no lore tradition of outdoorsmanship. Goblins are from a jungle island, so it's not exactly comparable. Of course, there's emancipated voodoo gnomes, they would have a tradition of outdoorsmanship. But they'd be a better basis for gnomish shaman. I love gno...
