Its kinda hard but you need to fly right over top then push x to go down. Once your mount stops moving on top of it then dismount. I found it to be easier with smaller mounts

I had this problem to.
His tree is on left side of the statue and is the tallest one.

Thats just annoying, If/when I do try to camp ill report any botters or hackers. That i one problem with BOE rare mounts it attracts the people who just get it to sell.
