This is a client side bug where your computer doesn't recognize the beast you see is a tamed pet, so instead it shows it as it's wild size, name, and elite/rare symbol if it has one. Only you will see this. To the hunter that has the pet it looks completely normal. Wasn't there a bug back in Mists ...

A terrible idea, because it affected EVERYTHING tied to that spell, not just CC-type stuff.

If they wanted to tweak pet CC, why didn't they just adjust the spells individually instead?

I'm more upset about them bringing back the Grimtotem Spirit guide skin. The least they could have done was made the Spirit Wolf a slightly different color. Bah. When I learned that someone had figured a way to tame the Grimtotem spirit-guide, I powerleveled my Hunter the last five levels I needed ...

I've tamed Lord Kri, and later plan on eventually taming the other two members of the Bug Family, and I've also tamed Buru the Gorger (hey, might as well do SOMETHING with all these new pet slots, right)?
