Curious idea!
Mechanical pets would require the hunter to be an engineer. :P

Re: Jeremy Feasel calling for new tameable feedback...

I always saw shoveltusks as a wild boar type of animal. It looks like they used a boar model for the body.

Re: Jeremy Feasel calling for new tameable feedback...

A raven and an eagle are two different types of birds entirely so I doubt they would do that.

And I don't see dragons being tamable ever. It just doesn't fit the theme. Having them as mounts is as far as we'll see it go I think.

Re: Legion - random ideas thread

I'm not sure exactly what glyphs (minor and major seem like redundant titles when you just have one set of glyphs) will do to characters in the way of altering abilities. I think glyphs should alter visuals or other non-ability related things and leave talent points to alter what your abilities can ...

And the opposite being true of Demon Hunters who only have two specs. They will get it very easily. I'm definitely rolling a DH but I am still up in the air about the tanking spec.

Dread Ravens definitely. Teroclaws are sort of close but just not close enough.

And of course frogs but they might be harder to get approved.

Re: Legion - random ideas thread

I'm still iterating on this trying to find a good balance of practicality versus abusability. A new exotic ability exclusive to Beast Mastery that allows your pet to resurrect you if you die much like the Shaman's self-resurrection. Call it "Undying Loyalty" for example since it ties into ...

Re: Legion - random ideas thread

I think Wain's compromise is a good idea. Take away exotic pet looks but give every pet family an exotic ability exclusive to Beast Mastery. That way it doesn't take away the core ability of the pets but gives Survival hunters the option of some exotic looks which as Wain pointed out are somewhat ar...

Re: Legion - random ideas thread

I also think frog pets would be a nice addition. I remember several years ago pre-Pandaria I think where it was brought up but so far nothing has come of it.

Re: Legion - random ideas thread

Almost as much a question as an idea since I have not seen anything either way, what about Survival getting the use of exotic pets? With MM having no pets and Survival going melee, would it hurt to allow them exotics? I used to prefer Survival but went to Beast Mastery after exotics came out. I like...

Re: No Flying in WoD period

It's a relief to see them give us back flying mounts. I'm already almost completely done with the achievements and only really need to pick up a few treasures and finish doing some of the assaults. Then there's those rep grinds which I'm loathe to do but I'd probably have done them regardless of the...

Re: No Flying in WoD period

I'm not going to unsub because of no flying but it would play a notable part of my reasoning for doing so if I decide to in the near future. Even if they allowed flying I might still unsubscribe. Aside from that, the reason I would unsubscribe is how poorly Blizzard has communicated. Sure, they talk...

Re: No Flying in WoD period

I think once they realize how negatively this will impact the playerbase, taking away a major perk of the game, they will change their tune. It's like saying, "here's a new class... oh, but we don't like how it works so we're taking it away." Or removing a primary profession entirely. They...

I think fishing needs improving but not like this. It needs to be faster and more rewarding, not feel like another game within a game that already has numerous mini games in it.

I can't wait for it to be over either. Of course then regardless of who wins there will be a lot of proclamations of whoever is President is going to drive the country into the ground and ruin it. I've already heard my fill of "Obama is trying to make a socialist dictatorship" from my fath...

Re: Getting Bored of Level 90

It is too easy to burn out on reps. The first day at level 90 I tried to do all the dailies of the factions I could. That didn't go on long. I settled on doing three reps a day and finished them to exalted (Tillers, Anglers, the Order). Now I'm working on Klaxxi and Golden Lotus. Slowly and inconsis...

Re: Stable problems

I have three hunters with too many overlapping spirit beasts and the odd spider or scorpid. Considering a fourth but that's much later down the line with all my other alts to level up first. I've decided to figure out which pets best fit each hunter. Think of how you want your hunter to be, their pe...

Male Troll - Oldest, my first hunter Female Blood Elf - Second oldest, my second though least used hunter Male Worgen - Third and most recent hunter, currently most used. I'm planning on a fourth at some point although I don't know yet what I'll do. I've thought of doing a themed Undead hunter and a...
