It's normal to miss him. He was a big part of your life. I'm glad he's starting to relax.

It's really funny Milo bonded most with the male of the couple. He was my cat way more than hubbys so had expected him to bind with the female of the couple. But nooo. Milo is sleeping in bed now and wears a harness so he can go out on their patio. They taking super care of him and send me pictures and videos

I miss him terribly but good to see he is loved and cared for

Oh Maria ❤️ I'm glad he's doing well, and that his new carers are keeping you updated. It must really hurt, all the same, and I'm sorry :( At least he looks happy!

he lost his cat friend and is in a new place? it would probably take more than a week for him to adjust!

Oki thank you. His cat friend was a female cat he had kittens with..
How long should we estimate? We leave him alone to adjust.
We got a dog but the cat should be used to dogs..and our dog havent been pestering the cat

If there are high places he can access (like a cat tree, but could be something else), I'd recommend blocking off access to hidey-holes. Hand feeding wet cat food on a spoon can produce positive associations!

We tried treats..no luck.
99% of the time he Lies under a guestbed or inba closet...
But there is a high chance that his previous owner will take him back....
We will see...

He is stressed and scared. He needs a safe room all to himself while he adjusts, with safe hiding places for him to go to. Make sure he has everything he needs in that space, litter box, food, water, soft bedding, etc. Sit in the room and just be with him several times day. Offer treats, but do not force things. Talk to him. It is going to be a process, and it may take some time. Be there for him, let him get used to your presence and the sound of your voice.

Denmark has some stupid ass rules when it comes to t aking over a pet from a private person.... they got the right to take them back until a month have passed... and we are sure the owner will take him back.... she´s such a Karen....
