Boxer Puppies!

Hey guys, so guess what? My boxer Misty had her babies very early this morning!
I have three dogs: Vega (male), Misty (female) and Olive (fixed female), all boxer doggies. Misty and Vega had a little December of 08, though that was kind of an accident. My mom, dad and I decided to breed Misty spring of 2010 one more time to have spring babies, then get them both fixed.
Well, my parents hesitated at breeding her again once she went in heat, due to cancer being in one of her previous puppies.
When my parents had finally done some research, talked to a few other breeders and decided to breed her, it looked like it was too late. Vega was not interested at all, and we never saw any baby makin'.
Over the last few week though, Misty had gotten HUGE! We thought maybe it was a false pregnancy, since we had tried to feel for pups and listen to them, and we didn't hear or feel anything. Well last week, my mom called me out of the computer room and told me to come see something. She was sitting on the floor with Misty sprawled across her lap on her back. My mom told me to put my hand on her belly, and I did; there were definitely pups in there!
So suddenly my mom felt a little dumb, and said she should have seen the signs of her being pregnant (other than getting fat), like her giving attitude when it came to food and things like that. We were a little nervous that the puppies would be unhealthy because she hadn't been eating puppy food.
She went into labour yesterday at 2 pm, and ended up having her first pup this morning at around 3 am! The first one was a heart stopper. The baby wasn't moving or breathing at all, we thought he was dead, and our hearts sank. My mom started wiping his face with part of the sheet, and then suddenly he made a squawk and started moving. It was such a relief!
I went to bed after the second pup was born, since I was so tired. This morning I woke up early, walked out in the living room and it was just like Christmas!Misty was inside the blanket-lined kiddie pool, with seven gorgeous pups suckling her! She had four girls and three boys, and they are SOOOO cute! Everything looks good so far, but I guess we won't really know until we take them to the vets in a few days.
This is very exciting for me to have cute little pups, especially so many! Our house is going to be very busy with 3 grown dogs, 7 pups and 8 cats wandering around in the chaos! xD
I don't have any pics uploaded yet, but I will keep you guys updated and add pictures if you'd like. This is going to be an exciting journey. ^_^
