So... not a hunter pet this time... but instead I'm getting an IRL pet. I've had birds in the past (cockatiels and a sun conure), but I've been without one for awhile. Lately I've really missed having one around, and recently I came across the crimson bellied conures while researching Green cheeks. Long story short I came across this cutie and decided to take him home!



He's a male crimson-bellied conure hatched on 7/21, and I'll be picking him up this friday.

As an adult once his colors come in, he'll look more like this:



Issue is... I'm having a difficult time settling on a name. I'm sure one will fit once I interact with him more but till then I'd love to hear some suggestions (WoW related or otherwise)

So far I'm leaning towards one of the following;

Yoshi
Hiro
Zephyr
Ripley
Aries (Ari for short; I'm an aries)
Loki

I was looking up wind deities and liked Huracan the best. He is also known as the Heart of the Sky.

A few pun names :
Brain ( pun on bird brain - bonus "What shall we do tonight brain" then you have to teach it to say "the same thing we do every day pinky")
Jail (pun on Jail bird )

I love the name Yoshi, personally, it's adorable! And so is your new little boy- he'll grow up gorgeous.

Forgot I made this thread, so a bit of an update ^^;


I did decide on the name Zephyr, and he's been the best little bird ever. He's 9 months old now and is my buddy. With me constantly, loves to cuddle, super sweet & smart. He started finally getting in his signature crimson belly as well recently.

Just wanted to say gratz on the GCC and to let you know I have one named Ripley, her nestmate is named Newt. (Aliens)
They were gotten as companions for Jones when his lifelong companion Indy passed away unexpectedly. (yes, Indiana Jones)
