Easy way to tame Deth

If you have open stable slots or are willing to abandon easily tamable pets to get back later you can do this.
This is for people who don't have others to help them.

Empty your active pet slots.

Tame 5 Spiders

Engage Deth and send one spider in, abandoning it after it's dead summoning the next spider.

Keep last spider for revive/normal tame tactics.

This method will get Deth to 50 percent health in a hurry and help cut down the time to tame him if your in a high pop server full of assholes. Good Luck!

Its easy though. You know those 10 rares you wanted? Go for Deth first

I used 3 for mine, thankfully I got deth first. I am running out of stable slots.

Easier perhaps is to get 5 pets with heart of the phenoix - that's a x2 for one pet

How do you abandon a pet after it dies? Using the script command?

You can right-click the pet portrait and abandon, too.

I somehow managed to do this to Solix during my Deth kite

And @ Astratia--sadly, the HotP debuff goes on the hunter rather than the pet, so Heart of the Phoenix isn't a really viable strategy--for one maybe but not five

Cool. Not really something I had to think about before cata (and happily I was able to tame Deth despite having to keep rezzing my pet)

But, will tuck that bit away for future. Never know when it might come in handy again, if 4.2 is any sign of things to come...
