Money Issues

Unread post by Lazurianis »

Hey guys, it's Laz once again. I need some help,

So recently I had bought a ton of stuff from the AH to get my Engineering up on my Alt, and it turns out I spent atleast 3kg. Which is approx the amount of money I had (about 3.5kg-1k) so I need a few Gold Making tips but here are some key factors:

Most of my profs. are not capped on my 85s. However most of the side profs. are (I.E. Fishing & Cooking).

I prefer to go out and farm for money, but i'm not sure where.

I do not have Herbalism, Alchemy, (I do have Mining on my 70 Twink.).

I want to try and stay away from Prof. Related Gold Making.

And I want to make money FAST. I am quickly falling behind on some stuff.

I've viewed some Gold Making Guides and i've only found very few that work.

I'm very flexible if I have to solo a dungeon. (Been soloing Dungeons sense BC.)

Thanks for the help! :D

To be fair, farming herbs and ores is the easiest way to go. If you want tons of money very fast, I will think your best bet is to buy a tcg loot card off ebay and then redeem and sell it in the ah, or something.

Edit: Or even take up enchanting and disenchant whatever greens and blues you come by. I skilled up BS last week, and was left with about 5k gold when all was done, and now I've about 15k. I suck at making gold though :P

Check out the trade skill master addon. I made a lot of money just buying cheap green items for transmog and selling them to server prices. They're lower than on other servers but... steadily I went up nearly 1k a day, with not much effort.

PS. No, it's not a goldselling site! Sounds like it though.

These are the places where I got started. I'm still not rich, but... I'm richer than I ever was!

Aside from gather profs. (I have an excellent Skinning circuit that will literally never stop feeding me leather if I'm the only one farming), I'd say doing dailies, well daily, and running a bunch of old dungeons solo is your best bet. You could try to play the AH, buying things and reselling, but I find that very boring.

I've been running tons of old LK Heroics working on the Meta Achieve, and I can get easily 100-300g per dungeon, and that's just from vendoring everything. If I were to Disenchant, or even AH the old skins, I'd make a lot more than I do. As a hunter, it's really not hard either. Just go BM and have MD ready for large groups, then burn burn burn. Certain bosses are very difficult though, and at least one is impossible solo, Moragg in VH, who does % damage, not specific numbers, so if you run into these bosses, just skip them if you can, and keep to the next boss/dungeon.

How's the rare pet trade on your realm?

You can farm up a Dark or Tiny Emerald Whelpling in a few hours' worth of grinding, usually, which on many realms can net 8-10k. If you farm the dark whelps outside Grim Batol on the Wetlands side, you also have a 1/10,000 chance to nab a Tiny Crimson Whelpling, which can sell for double that. It's only really worth it if you know it will sell, though!

Depending on the economy of your server, lower level cloth and leather might sell well (anything pre-Cata), but you need to check your AH on how the market is.

Or go solo some of the BC raid level dungeons like Tempest Keep, which drops 250g per boss I believe, in addition to all the random stuff you can vendor.

What I would do to try and kill 2 pallis with one arrow (see what I did there?) is go farm vortex pinnacle or stone core, that way if your fighting up to the dragon bosses (on reg of course) you could get a ton o money and a chance to get a sweet mount at the same time!

My money maker is the gathering skills and skinning the main one. Very easy to level up quickly. On the AH, blackened dragonscale sells well and savage leather good. I know of 2 great farming places and since I have long waits for random dungeons, I have something to do to pass the time.
