starting over.. for a pet?

Unread post by Sukurachi »

I wonder if anyone else has done this.

I made a pair of Pandas (cute little female red panda, with the long tail... and his and hers matching facial markings)

I was happy with them, and I thoroughly enjoyed doing the entire Pandaren opening zone. Almost as much as I had enjoyed the Worgen opening zone.

They chose their allegiance, then I got them to level 12, and realized: crap! next time I get to see a Crane is level 85.

So I started over, in the hopes that I can still see the cranes when I hit level 10 and can tame a pet.
Again, matching pair of Panda hunters. New names (which I actually like much better).. and hopefully, soon, crane pets, which seem so much more "Asian" and more fitting for a pair of Panda hunters.

I would do it! They're only lvl 12 so it's not that huge of a loss IMO. Cranes at lower levels are awesome! :)

I'm actually really enjoying doing the Panda starter area again.
I found the whole experience very moving and emotional.

One of my in-game best friends (who is also a work colleague) just sent me an email through work LOL telling me he finally got his panda out of the starter zone, to add him to the guild.. and that he thought the starter zone was amazingly emotional. So I'm not alone! LOL

I would do it. The opening zone for Pandaren is pretty awesome. Plus, the first 12 levels go by pretty quickly, so it's not really a loss of time in the grand scope of things. Then again, I have ran baby Hunters across the world just to tame *that one pet* I had to have at level 10 (like taking my Human Hunter across the world to tame the raptor from the islands just off Durotar, lol).

with the help of a bit of resting bonus I got from the first place I logged out, they are now level 8, so it IS going quickly. I just hope I can find my way back to where the cranes are when it's time.

Just hit level 12 and arrived in Orgrimmar.. and...

the tiny companion Jade Crane Chick is the same size (more or less) as my actual combat Hunter pet White Crane.

they make such an adorable pair!

Don't feel bad, I had a guildie help me do the exact same thing with my twink hunter. I just had to have a raptor.

well, I'm thoroughly in love with my little crane pets... and they ARE really little.
I really hope they never fix the size bug on those.

I once deleted and re-rolled a character because I didn't like her lips. So...yeah, I can totally see this.
