Wow. I think this is such a beautiful piece of art and the song is haunting!

The team that produces these always do amazing work. The actual animation style is simple, but they really make that work in its favour, with that gorgeous and moody artwork. And it was great to hear Laura Bailey show off her amazing singing talents :)

It is! I was head over heels!

Here's the lyrics.

"Beware, beware, the Daughter of the Seas."
"Beware," I heard him cry.
His words carried upon the ocean breeze,
As he sank beneath the tide.
Those blood-soaked shores of Kalimdor,
Where sailors fought and died.
The admiral fell at Theramore,
because she left his side.
Why this? Why this oh Daughter of the Seas?
Why this? Did you forget your seaside days?
Always the pride of our nation's eyes,
How could she go astray?
When she did flee across the ocean deep,
the admiral followed west.
What else but sail to save a daughter's life,
and pray she still drew breath?
But there he found on the Western shores,
Enemies 'pon the rise!
But when he faced those savage foes
His daughter stood aside.
Buried deep beneath the waves,
Betrayed by family,
To his nation, with his last breath cried,
"Beware the Daughter of the Seas."

It was absolutely phenomenal, gave me goosebumps! I love these animations so much, I can't wait for the other two. It's nice to see the female characters in the spotlight for a change. :)

Definitely gave me goosebumps when I watched it this morning! I've never liked Jaina that much but, after that video, I'm slowly changing my mind.

Even more hyped for the Sylvanas one now.

I think it makes her a more interesting character than if she were revealed to be a dreadlord or succumbed to old god whispers. It doesn't make me want to cheer for her, but it does make me want to know more of her story. The song and visuals were astounding.

I do enjoy a good sea shanty even if it's about a character I do not like anymore.

I've watched it several times and it's so chilling. I looove the song. Jaina has always been one of the characters I had little interest in but they way they dramatized her backstory and current mindset (?) in this was fascinating.

"I heard, I heard, across a moonlit sea,

The old voice warning me,

“Beware, beware the Daughter of the Sea,”

“Beware, beware…”

… of ME."

When the ghost head screams at Jaina, I keep thinking that's what it screams at her. But I don't know what it's actually saying yet.
