Ok so I have a new idea for a reward for some contest. I hear alot of people say they want to transfer their chars to Nessingwary to join the guild but they dont have the cash. Well here is my idea. I need to clear this with the guild and petopia leaders but who would want to enter a contest where if you win your relm transfer is paid for by me.

Once I get the go ahead, saying thats an OK reward by the Leaders THEN we will figure out contest

If you're willing to do that I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem. I'm curious, though, as how you'd do the payment for the transfer? You can't gift a transfer to another account...would you somehow send the money directly to the winner?

I was going to ask the same thing. There'd have to be a lot of trust, sharing of identities, and a cash transfer. I think it's wonderfully generous, I just know I wouldn't participate for this reason. (At least I'm not as untrusting as Saturo. >.>)

I most likely would. I'd love to have friends for my Hunter to quest with, talk with while I quest and help people get their rare beasties. It'd entirely depend on the contest because I'm not talented in a lot of things but if it was something I knew I had some kind of chance at I would most definitely join in!

I will create a paypal account and give the winner the name and password. once they pay I delete the credit card on file and cancil the account. Easy huh?

If you don't want to use your own credit card, you could get one of those prepaid ones. I got one for Christmas, was pretty handy.

In that case it sounds like a pretty great idea.

I'd run it by Mania just to be sure, but seeing as how you're not trying to affiliate this as any sort of official Petopia contest I doubt there would be a problem.

Well, I was going to say: If you do it as official Petiopia idea, Blizzard may be willing to "middle-man" it. Possible future business venture for them? That way you're guaranteed that the money is used for a transfer, and not let's say... beer.

Nope, the only realm transfers that are free are when Blizzard specifies a very full server and gives free realm transfers off of there to a new low population one.

i think its a great idea and so is using a pre paid card much safer plus, if it says the transaction isnt coming from blizz u can always cancel it.
