Suggestions for the next expansion!

I think that the next one will be the last too, personally.
No idea what it will be, though. We've already done a Undead expansion, a Cultist expansion, a Demon Expansion... Dragons were tied in to two of those..

Plans to have included the Emerald Dream into the game already (as in, in place of one the expansions we actually got), were cancelled, yes. The Emerald Dream itself however, is not 'scrapped'. The Dream still exists, and there is no reason whatsoever that Blizzard couldn't come up with a storyline involving it at some future point. And non druids have been into the dream, at least twice now.

The Emerald Nightmare is over, yes, so that wouldn't be the full basis of a potential story involving the Dream.

They scrapped the Emerald Dream so not a chance. Besides, druids would never EVER allow outsiders within....nor would the Emerald Dragonflight.

Was once told that Ysera never really would aknowledge anyone outside of the Druid caste.

Yet she quite happily followed Rosalyn around, appearing in visions and scaring the **** out of my orc and making her think she was insane. Rosalyn does not need some aspect to tell her she is some herald of the ancients or some BS!

But seriously it's still not really concluded that the emerald dream is completely safe. That and Ysera really needs a model on par with Alexstraza, and no not her elf form, her dragon. It's so... old school.. poor thing...

Anyways if any of you did the escort Fangle... fangal.. .. .. the druid whatshisname quest, where you have to get him to a green dragon to whisk him away to Moonglade, you'd have most likely fiought THE THING. I mean, the flesh beasts *shudder*, which ouldn't be there if the dream was really safe and sound. The Nightmare hasn't yet been stopped, and it is still spreading. And seriously there's more hints and ties to it now, Aviana's former mate, Blaithe, used the Raven Lord model. What was Anzu? A Raven Lord. What was he some herald and worker of? Some denizen of the nightmare most likely. As no I doubt he was working alone.

What did the sketties dorks worship? A raven. What is Aviana? A raven goddess. How long has she been 'dead'? A long time. She had a mate, her mate is Blaithe, or was. They most likely had children, Anzu could have been one of them. Or something.

So obviously the corruption has been there for a long time, and will still be there, festering like a ill treated infected wound.

Tbh I want Emerald Dream to be the next expansion. Perhaps tying in with a return of the Burning Legion. It is very possible that would be the last expanse for WoW. Think about it.

A broken, dying and shattered world. It's denizens in chaos, it's guardians dead, defeated or left with grevious wounds that they are having to recover from. The Nightmare in the emerald dream begins to ooze into the world, as demons start to invade. Being torn from within and without, the final battle begins.

As mean well even the biblical apocalypse had more than one stage of OHSHI. Wow should be no exception :<

I still think the Pandaren the worst idea ever. They just don't fit in, imho.

As Varian and Garrosh are still hating each others faction but again they will have to work hand in hand to get Deathwing down, my guess on the next expansion will be:

We finally get to go at each others throats, no mercy shown or asked for.
Give the bad guys some time to think of new plans and let horde and alliance destroy each other.

People have been begging for Pandarens and they are in Warcraft., atleast Chen is anyway. I think they'll be introduced for sure.

As for "total war", thats kinda where we're at now. Why would we wanna repeat of what this expansion already has?

And it won't happen because Deathwing, the aspect of earth, is our current bad guy, right?

We almost couldn't handle the effing Lich King when working together. How are we supposed to kill a frigging dragon aspect?!?
The war will be kept low, we will again have to join forces to get over the bad guy.

Mark my words: The next patch(es) will bring horde and alliance closer.

Oh, and don't forget, Putress and his cronies are still out there somewhere right?

After all the work they put into making aquatic content usable and fun, I'd love to explore some more of the ocean/surrounding islands. Since a lot of people are scared stiff of the deep ocean and its inhabitants, though, I'm not sure they could actually pull it off.

So, how about a Cataclysm for Outland? People remark on what a jarring and outdated experience it is all the time. How about they move the story forward, implement flying content better, work in auto-quest and phasing, etc? Making new places for endgame would be a snap, too. Outland is a big and fractured realm floating in space featuring portals to other chunks of it/worlds, so pulling in new landmasses or even other worlds would be easy to implement.

For the next expansion, perhaps they'll have a "Clash of the Titans" theme where the Titans come back to Azeroth to determine what should be done about the "Curse of Flesh", which causes a division amongst the Titans with one side wanting to "cleanse the infections" and the other side wanting to continue to study the effects before passing final judgment. I don't know how that would tie into lore, but it would be entertaining. Just imagine fighting against the Titans and striking against their best creations, with it all being an elaborate way of testing the mutated creations to see if they are truly worthy of continuing to exist or not.

I'm pretty sure that in China, it's illegal to depict pandas as coming into any kind of harm, even fictional depictions in popular culture. So, the vanity pet's fine, since they're pretty much indestructable. Pandaren NPCs might also be okay, as long as they were flagged as friendly to everyone and could not be killed. However, we're never going to see playable Pandaren. Not without WoW losing the 8 million + subscribers it has in China.

As for a future expansion, I was kind of hoping that Thousand Needles and Vashj'ir were "trial zones" for a future water/South Seas based expansion, maybe with playable Naga. However, everyone I've talked to pretty much hate the water zones, and it is kind of an unwritten Law of Video Games that any water-based level or dungeon will be, without exception, a giant pain in the ass (for a prime example, the Water Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time). So I severely doubt that we'll see any water-themed expansions, as much as I would love playable Naga. Maybe a content patch, but not an expansion.

I really have no idea what they might do next. There are some minor details I would like to see, however:

* Increase the number of toons we can have per realm. I'm out of room on Alterac now
* Give some kind of incentive to make older raids - Classic, BC and WotLK - relevant again, like maybe a new daily or something. Ever since ICC came out on my server, that's literally *all* anyone wanted to do for PuG raids, and now it's the same for the Cata raids. And as soon as a content patch comes out, like Deathwing's Lair or something, guess what? There's all sorts of things I wanted to experience, but never did because no one else wanted to run them. (hasn't even been through Naxx)
* Give Worgen some real mounts, and increase number of Goblin Trikes we can get. Also, either add worgens and goblins to the Argent Tournament, or let them start out representing one of the other factions (AT is still relevant to mount/small pet collectors!)
* Bat flying mounts. We have all the other flightpoint mounts now, come on!
* More hunter pets! (goes without saying on this board )

This will make you happy, from what I hear this is already being looked into and is an unintended glitch. Apparently they are trying to make it where Goblins and Worgen's are tied into one of the starting cities, IE Org for Goblins and probably Darn or SW for Worgen. It's most likely a tangled mess of coding at the moment to make the argent torunament think your Goblin is a really, really small deformed orc orphan who you must take pity on. And that the Worgen is really uh, just in a costume. Really. He got to caught up with being the Mascot for the Rabid Raiders.

* Bat flying mounts. We have all the other flightpoint mounts now, come on!

I want buyable dragonhawks. Since Horde get UNSHADED DAYGLOW YELLOW AS RED. sdfdg raaage. *stomps* I want the option to buy, REALLY BUY a red dragonhawk, and as much as I like my sunreaver hawk, it is not red. It does not amuse me. I dislike the armor at times and it pisses me off. .. ok it doesn't piss me off but, if they make bat mounts, I want buyable dragonhawks. Perhaps Blizzard could do faction based flying mounts now, each offers a lv 60 and a lv 70 version mount.

From my experience, people don't care about GS for older raids. I just want them to have a reason for doing them again, like how we had the weekly raid quests in Wrath for a while, only have it apply to every raid currently in game, including lvl 60s and 70s. Any non-"current" raids I have been able to go on have been for the weeklies, or I've just lucked out when someone got bored and arranged one. I've tried arranging them myself, but haven't had much luck.

That's good to hear! And it would be kind of funny trying to convince the AT that your goblin was a small, deformed Orc! They should add in some NPC discussing that!

Red dragonhawks would be awesome as mounts! They'd match Belore, my pet Red and White dragonhawk from the Botanica. (I'm a sucker for matching pets/mounts/small pets)

Orcs and Ogres come from Draenor, Draenei come from Argus. Draenor was just one of the planets they stopped by, a quick peek into their lore shows that they have been on many planets, all of whom have been invaded by the legion shortly afterwards.
