Same. Also gonna wait. It'll be in the Blizzard Store for years to come anyway. Not like it'll suddenly be removed unless Blizzard changes their minds about these. Just can't justify it either.

Definitely picking this up as soon as I have the cash, I've been waiting for a bat mount since freaking Vanilla.

I do wish Blizzard would ease up on all the fancy armor and stuff on store mounts. I suppose I see why they think they need to make them super sparkly and shiny, but they always end up looking so busy. Still, this guy is just too awesome looking to pass up, I love the new bat texture.

It has to become tameable someday, but with Kunchong, Hellhounds and other creatures that are basically model upgrades of already existing tameable pets not being guaranteed tamability, I just don't know anymore.


Obviously, bats, silithid colossi and the oldschool hellhounds deserve a really good upgrade in the form of making the new bloodwings, firelands hellhounds and kunchong tameable, but it's not guaranteed. We'll sadly just have to see.


Though, something interesting was linked in the MMO-Champion thread that the mail indicates that these Bloodwings are from the South Seas Islands. Not only may this indicate a South Seas expac, but it may also mean that these are actually models meant for the next expac, where they'll be beast mobs.

It looks neat but kinda.. freaks me out lol the face anyways.. I wish blizzard store wouldn't be so pricey.. its not like Wow is a free game and really with all the tcg mounts, tcg cards it must be a gold mine..

Well, Blizzard doesn't actually see any income from the ridiculous prices on TCG mounts. Those are all sold by third parties (some of whom get the codes legitimately and some who don't)... like all third party transactions, Blizzard only sees a few cents per card whether it's a foil or not; they're all the same to them.

Edit: I also got the bat. Because...well...bat. Good lawd it's badass. I skipped the windsteed because its hooves bugged me; they look like they have two cheese boxes on each foot. I kind of wish the bat didn't drool constantly but it doesn't look bad. And the soft little 'chirr' noise it makes periodically is cute without being grating or obnoxious.

Of course this means the feydrake will probably be TCG...so much for getting one, hur.

Probably won't get this, at least not any time soon. Canceled my sub some time ago until something good draws me back. It looks OK to me...too much armor to me, very busy. Plus the holes in the wings will forever bug me lol.

My brother is buying mine soon as he gets home. I never had to buy these store mounts myself since I always do in game favors for everyone I know. Glad this one is coming into my collection.
