sea turtle can be used at level 1

As VanillaBri pointed out in today's wow insider breakfast topic, Sea Turtles can be ridden at level 1. The button in the mount UI is greyed out, but typing /cast Sea Turtle works. This does not increase land speed, but it does give a swim speed equal to run speed.

Yar. It only goes at walking speed on land though so it's no biggie.

I believe it does increase your land speed too if you have the guild mounted speed bonus.

Yup. I've been doing this for a while now.
So far, every time I've used it on my super lowbies I get at least 3 people saying they're going to report me for hacks xD

Riding Turtle (from the TCG) can also be ridden by lvl 1s in the same fashion. I made a macro so my bank toons can easily mount up, just for kicks.

Yeah I sent in a ticket once just to hear a GM's opinion on it and they replied that it was such a tiny difference that it didn't matter to them.

The speed is increased indeed when you're in a guild with the speed perk!

Interesting. I wonder if we should report this on WCM or not. If it's unintended behaviour, I don't want to upset anyone at Blizzard over it. But if they really don't care then maybe we should.
