Visual Guide to Collecting Wild Pet Colors

The purpose of this guide is to assist in catching all the possible wild pet colors.

I have not included models when collecting all the pets automatically gives all the colors.

The pets listed for each color are not all-inclusive, but a selection to collect all the colors with as few wild pets as possible.

Pets with asterisks only come in one color.

Lisanette has generously agreed to allow me to link her model color charts within this guide.

Please post any corrections or needed updates.

Now updated for 8.0!

It should be noted that the Spirit Crab is ghostly and not solid like the Emperor Crab.

-> Stickied. Awesome work! :)

I guess you can always pad it out in time with all possible sources for each colour, but it's certainly a great guide as it is.

Yay! It was your and Quint's posts that inspired me to work on this in the first place.

I actually see this as less of a catalog of colors and more of a list of recommendations. For example, I purposefully listed Silky Moth Scorpid only under beige pink, instead of all the different colors it comes in, because it is the only source of the beige pink color. So to be efficient, it's best to just catch a beige Silky Moth pink Scorpid.

Actually...

The Fungal Moth also comes in the beige shade. In fact, I originally thought that it might have been unique to the Fungal Moths, as I hadn't found a beige Silky Moth for quite a while. :)

Thanks for pointing that out, Warcraftpets doesn't have the beige listed under Fungal Moth. Have sent in a correction over there.

The beige Silky is still current, have caught one since 5.1.

I love this and hate it at the same time. Just when I thought capturing A rare of each would be enough......no, no. Now, I must have a rare of each color! But seriously, that is a great resource. That you for putting it together.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm a *long* way from having a rare of everything! I wish they didn't show the rarity in their nameplates, the grey of my Lofty Libram was mocking me this morning...

I'm... two away from having a rare of everything. And those two are Sumprush Rodent and Qiraji Guardling. This is the advantage of literally spending two weeks on *nothing* but pets before going 'I think I feel like actually leveling my character'. :D

Mind you, I admit it: I spent stones on a few pets: Minfernal and Wanderer's Festival Hatchling.

The first humanoid/general stone I get will be banked for the Qiraji Guardling :)

Somehow, I was lucky enough to get a rare on my one and only festival turtle!

This is a really handy guide. :) It'd be nice if the pictures from WarcraftPets could be resized a bit smaller so to be in line with the Petopia ones - makes for easier scrolling. :D

I've been lucky enough to get two general flawless battlestones (that's it, but, I'll take it lol) Spent one on a Sporeling cause I was tired of that dang swamp full of CRZ campers (and I accidentally killed the only rare one I found) and one on my Oracle Hatchling. I'm not sure that was good use of them, but I had to do something with them! My Oracle is my favorite pet, first 25, and I use him alot. Just to justify it >.>
