Before 4.0.1, it only took me (t10 geared fury warrior), a friend (shammy healer), and a random DK (frost dps) to get all the way there without problems. Now, I am going to convince the hell out of a friend to get me to this boss so I can tame him. Thank you Blizzard! I love The Beast and all, but this is the closest I'll ever see a dragon as a pet, and by god I'll have it.

If you tamed him would it still open up to the last boss just like if you had killed it?

Yes, the way to Nefarion opened up for us once Wain tamed him.

This is amazing. I'm gonna try and tame it ASAP in Cata.

What they meant was that Immol'thar is STILL a demon. The other ones were changed to beasts, but he wasn't.

With the DPS Wain and my DK tank were pulling out at level 85, we were able to down him pretty easily with just the two of us. Soloing him could be a little harder, as my DK died jsut as he was downed. The only other boss that presented a problem was the first one. And even then, ocne I brought in my tank we didn't have too much problems with him. (asside from the despawning bug :S)

Well, I know what I'm taming as soon as the Cataclysm occurs now.

I was never a really a fan of the normal core hounds, and something about the Kurken doesn't really suit my fancy, either, but I love the way this guy looks.

I am so very pleased at the moment.
