I got a friend of mine to tank and got one. Named it Terminix. This thing is so fun in PvP. Looks like a companion pet running around except kickin da boody.

Well, crap. I think I just found something to fill my last stable slot with! I may have to try to grab one tomorrow.

It's really adorable, and it was already my favorite beetle color anyway!

Out of curiosity, has anyone tamed one on the PTR? Do we know if they'll still be tiny when 4.1 comes out?

I didn't try a fresh retame, but the one I transferred became a normal-sized beetle though its profile page is still itty. It keeps its trail through death at least.

For PvE, I don't think it would matter. Thinking of PvP, though, I could see how people would complain. It'd be hard to see against some terrain backgrounds and hard to click target for those who don't have pet nameplates turned on. Of course, one doesn't see too many beetles used in PvP.

Its size-fixed now but it still keeps the black trail and thumping noises. At least they didn't completely normalize it after I dropped Aotona for it.

Tamed it just before downtime hit and logged in to find they have fixed the size "issue". The tiny beetles are now the same size as all other beetles...

Honestly, I'm extremely upset with the way this was handled.

Little mini-beetles weren't hurting anyone. In fact, I detested the beetle family until I happened upon this awesome little dude and immediately replaced my Terrorpene with him. He was cute, and had personality - a teeny bug with a giant heart. Most people use nameplates, esp in PvP, and can easily click said nameplate and own beetle in seconds flat (which, kinda pointless to use him anyway in PvP, instead of a stun/snare/disarm pet).

At least Colossus got to tank some of ICC10 before being condemned to my stable. I just can't bear to look at him in his current state. Beetle size is disproportional; mini-beetle size was perfect, though maybe they could've been a bit bigger.

He is actually slightly smaller that other beetles still. Me and a guildy both had a beetle out and mine was slightly smaller. We both had the glyph so it wasnt that

I surprised myself with how disappointed I was about the size fix...free stable slot I suppose. Fun while it lasted. I'm sure others will love him for the zippy streak and all, but the major part of his appeal to me was the size. To those who find him and love him, enjoy! But for me, so long, not-so-little buddy.

although it got enlarged, its shell shield animation did as well....so its now...huge, and huger when BW is popped lol
